Remarks

First things first, Ramjas College is part of Delhi University North Campus and is considered one of the prestigious colleges according to its ranking for the course that I adopted. But admission process is so lengthy, time-consuming, and tiring. It took us a whole day at college after submitting the documents. Apart from that only the top colleges of DU are good. Ramjas is not that good. It is decent but not that preferable. It is part of the north campus that is a plus point but if you are there for studies it may not be the best choice. If you want to study, you can but there is not balance between curricular and extracurricular. If you are there for sports or fun, then you have made one of the choices. There are people who play so well, you will learn a lot from them. Also, Ramjas is famous for politics which can be good or bad at the same time. There is so much happening at the time of AUG and SEP that you will love it. All in all, it is good but there is not balance between studies and fun.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

It is considered one of the best courses in DU. Also, I want to learn commerce, trade. Thats why I took B.COM Hons. Some Faculty is extremely good and some are satisfactory. According to my opinion, you will not face any problem in B.COM Hons, it's easy and understandable. Exams were on time and they are easy for some and difficult for others.

Internships Opportunities

4

Yes Ramjas offer internship opportunities the whole year. One can apply through them. Process is similar to job placement except that it is easier. Also, it is provided to Article Trainees who are pursuing CA. I myself did not applied for an internship from college.

Placement Experience

3.5

In the 5th semester, companies start coming for placements and one can apply there itself. Every year number of companies come including Deloitte, KPMG, PWC, Decathlon, etc and they take a number of people according to their requirements. As far as I know the highest package for B.COM Hons graduate was somewhere 12 L per annum. I am focused on doing a job after college and I got the job in college placement itself

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are not too much, very economical. DU is so economical that it will not burn holes in your pocket. If you are living there then it may cost you more. Otherwise, it's very cheap studying at Ramjas College There is some financial assistance for pwd students and others as well. And companies also come for a job, so better be prepared for them.

Campus Life

3.5

There is an annual fest in DU in every college in the months of January and February. They are very happening and one should attempt it at least once in a lifetime. But Ramjas College Fest did not happen in 2018, but it did in 2019 and it was amazing. Books are available in the library for students' convenience. There is no AC in the classroom which can create problems in summer for some students but there is almost 3 month of summer vacation which makes attending college manageable. Ramjas is famous for sports and fun. If you want to learn sports, then you should definitely be there. There are many societies in college such as Dance, Music, Drama, Entrepreneurship Society, etc.

Students of 3rd year are eligible for the same. Mckinsey, BCG, Bain, Blackrock, Meesho etc being the most prestigious recruiters. Highest package varies, but it went around 36 L last year. Avg being around 8 L. I would say most students who apply for placements get placed, however only a few get placed in the top companies. I personally wish to pursue an MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Although, people say that B.Com doesn't have a great scope to it, I feel like there are many life lessons that we are taught during our college years. Since the introduction of NEP 2020, there has been a rather great emphasis on practical learning. In our college, we are asked for presentations and group projects to promote learning and communication. The presence of SEC and VAC also helps you develop your soft skills, groom your personality and live a happy and healthy life. Exams are help at the end of every semester. There are a few guides and PYQs with the help of which a student can prepare for these exams. They are relatively easy in my opinion and do not require extreme efforts. Overall, it's a great experience and a great opportunity to learn so many things.

In the context of a fictional scenario, the placement scenario would depend on the specific college within Delhi University. Some colleges have robust placement cells that facilitate campus placements with various companies. The placement scenario can vary, and it's advisable to check with the specific college for accurate and up-to-date information.

I choose b.Com because I am from a commerce background. It is an open college class held only on Sundays classrooms are good but washrooms are average. Teachers are experienced and well-educated. Exams are held on every 6 months semester wise you have to study hard to clear exams.
