Remarks

Since my CAT score was not too good so tha I could land in top IIT or IIMs. But I was too keen to pursue my MBA degree and wanted to get a job in good company. But I had no chance to go anywhere rather than this college. But I am happy to came here, as all things depend on a student, if they work hard rather than thinking of a place. Also placements are good here.Thats what I wanted so.

Course Curriculum Overview

All faculty members in the college are PhD holders. We are being taught by some of the best faculty members here at IIM Sambalpur. We have Mr Prantosh Banerjee sir to teach marketing subjects, and we have BBC sir to teach finance subjects.Some teachers have experience of more than 20 years. They also explain multiple real-life problems and guide us on how to formulate strategies in different situations.

Class Size: 75Course Fees: INR 1050000 per year

Placement Experience

More than 90% of the students were offered internships from our college. I'm currently pursuing my summer marketing internship in ElasticRun. Placements were very good for our batch and seniors as well. Almost 100% of the students were placed from our college. All the major MNCs and technical firms along with a string of FMCG companies visited our campus for placements.

College Events

The course curriculum of IIM Sambalpur is of comparable rigour to any of the IIMs, and the course structure of the subjects is highly application based. The case-based methodology is followed, and it supplements by guest lectures, corporate and industrial visits. The faculty members of IIM Sambalpur are highly qualified.

A journey that will help you learn a lot.

Likes

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

Dislikes

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. Companies like BNY, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Bain& Company, High Radius, TCS, EY, PWC and many more of them have visited the campus.

Likes

Beautiful campus with lot's of space and with good computer labs
They conduct exam in very smoothly manner

Dislikes

Need to improve administrative building while submitting fees many students face problem
Lab session of some subjects are too long which is around 3 hrs which need to reduce for atleast 2 hrs

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities in my college are good, with students generally becoming eligible for campus placements from the pre-final or final year, depending on the course and company criteria. The college has an active placement celll that supports students by Organizing training sessions, resume building and also mock interviews.

Likes

Teaching pattern and teachers are good and helpful

Location but now it's developing a lot here
Food of the canteen can be better than what it is
They don't give fruits or milk for breakfast

there are smart class rooms and good faculty for my course and various extracurricular activities are available for students
you can compete many state and national level competitions such as essay writings, creative writings, debate, poster making, etc.
the management of the university is really commendable. various departments and cells have been established to help students in their academic life such as; placement cells, incubation and innovation centers for young entrepreneurs

Dislikes

students who are engaged in political activities often exercise their dominance over other students
sanitation could be better with the mutual efforts of both the students and the college management
though is a placement cell present, i haven't seen many numbers of students getting employed through the university placement cell

sociology as an academic discipline is really sought after in the recent times. it is considered as one of the most sought elective chosen by the upsc aspirants and the discipline in itself gives you a great chance at understanding your society and other societies about how they function amd operate, provides knowledge about various cultures, health, environment, city structure and so much more. you can pursue higher studies or go for NET exams right after post graduation. you can also work with ngos and other nonprofit organizations. each semester is ideally of 6 months and two exams are there. the difficulty level of exams would range from moderate to high

The professor who taught in our class they are taught is best In teaching.
They provide you many opportunities to work upon on you.
The infrastructure of college is good and huge.

Dislikes

The campus is very vast, and you have to walk for every minute of work.
The are very serious about your study and what you are doing
The gate get closed if you get came late even it's 5-10 minute late.

Placement Experience:

It's good as many company come but the placement directly depend on your study and hard work of your 4 year and a pre placement also conduct in 3rd year where you can also get placed. For placement the student should secure 8-10 cgpa for sit in interview exam.
