MIT Manipal, B.Tech, Computer Science and Engineering

Remarks

MIT is the best private university in India, with good NIRF rankings and marked as AAA+ Institute in India. It organised its own exam and to get the main branches your rank should be under 1000-1560. This Institute is the best in all the best place to pursue your dreams and to get a high-quality education.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Faculty are good and supportive helping with every aspect of studies. Exams are conducted on a semester basis. Institute charge extra for examination and other fees. MIT is a very good option if you can get a scholarship of around 25-50%. Institute also support an economically weaker section of society. The majority of teachers uses slides for teaching which is a drawback.

Course Fees: INR 340000 per year

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement is good but packages that are offered are not very high near about 88% of students get placed with an average package of 4.5 LPA and a maximum of 28 LPA. Companies visited are very frequent. My plans are to get placed in well repuated company by end of my final semester as this Institute has a good record of that.

Fees and Financial Aid

Btech from MIT will cost you around 20 -22 lakhs including hostel and other fees and expenses. Scholarships are provided to you on the basis of your score on MET and near about 25% of student get some type of scholarships from the administration. Main companies visit campus frequently and about 150+ well-reputed companies visit every year. From the IT branch near about 88% students get placed.

Campus Life

Campus life is the best thing at MIT. It has the most beautiful campus that you can ever ask for and hostel life is the best part. I would rate my life on campus as 100/10. Once a student enters MIT it gets very difficult to say goodbye for sure. Various technical and educational clubs for overall personality building. This Institute will surely give you the right platform to transform you into a more confident individual by the end of your graduation. Various webinars are organised by the Institute.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel facilities are A class with good quality of food. Desert is also provided in dinner along with chicken twice a week. The rules of the hostel are not very strict as what is generally expected out of them. So it is very easy to get distracted but if you are disciplined then this Institute will provide you write platform to flourish.

Hostel Fee: INR 120000 per year

Second thing is food students facing some problem with the food which hear prepared so outsiders facing lot of problems
Third is about hostel facility is good but very strict only once a week the students should go out side and write leave letter to go there native places.

Insights of the Gopalan college of engineering and Management by a First Year Student

Likes

Canteen is fine has nice and tasty food and quite a lot of options
Library is also good has every book related to my course and few others as well
Lab facilities are also very nice and the college has a nice crowd

Dislikes

It's nothing like I expected, they don't let students use the ground or turfs. Facilities are pretty bad.
They charge money for everything and has zero facilities for college students. Everything is for there school students.
College is very small and the faculties are rude to students. (Mostly the case)

Placement Experience:

Student are eligible for placements from there 7th semester but I wouldn't recommend relying on college for placements. Not many companies come to this college so placements are really bad. If u have skills it would be better to apply to companies on your own. I don't have details on how many students gets placed but as much as I know it's about 30-50 % And average package is also very low. I plan of gaining skills and certification on my own and job hunting myself in 4th year through my connections and internships. Or maybe go abroad for masters As I'm a first year student I don't know much about which companies come and how much they offer.

MIT Manipal owns engineering!

Admission here are very consistent and just two methods. No other method works here as MIT Manipal has very clear plans. Either you can qualify through Manipal Entrance Test or JEE scores but 90 percentile is required. So it is tough as engineering seats in MIT Manipal maybe high but competition to be in top 1000-1200 means competing with nearly 100k students....Read More

MIT manipal - a complete review(hostel, nightlife, fees, academics)

I chose this college because this was the best option I had among others that I got accepted into. Comparing to others, MIT has much lesser intake and a much better campus life. I made it into all the private colleges that I applied to, but not colleges like NIT and IIT Other colleges I got accepeted into are BITS, VIT, CET, LPU, Thapar. I didnt choose BITS because of the higher fees. Eligibility criteria of MIT is 60 percentage in boards and students have to write MET, our entrance test, there is 50 percentage weightage for boards as well....Read More
