Remarks
I have chosen this college due to its top QS ranking in 2015 stats. The admission process is different for different courses for management courses admission is done through cat and for BTech admission is done through jee the main score. It has 60 acres full on wifi campus with organised blocks for every course. Apart from studying the atmosphere of extra circular activities like dancing,film-making, sports is also very amazing. The locality of Noida is also one of the main reason.
Course Curriculum Overview
If we talk about the student ratio in terms of studying and hardworking that will be 80 percent and the rest 20 percent of students comes from a business family who just comes for taking a degree. Qualifications of faculty are minimum MSc in their specialised field(some are pursuing PhD from amity only in the weekend programme). Due to their high working experience, the teaching method of faculties is very innovative so that topics can be easily understood by students. In every semester mid sem exams are taken which are usually 10 marks, one can easily score if he or she studies well. If we take about BCA, the course is divided into 6 semesters having one subject of foreign language too. In the first years, many extra subjects are there syllabus like EVS, ACCOUNTS which are not related to this field. From 2nd year onwards there are proper language subjects like JAVA, PYTHON, UNIX and HTML
Placement Experience
Placements of students depend completely on students. NO college guarantees you placements unless and until you do hard work. EVERY year many companies in the AIIT department of amity for placements having a requirement of 6cgpa in bachelors. The placement process starts in the second last semester only. About 70 to 80 percents of students are placed every year because the rest 20-30 percent of students go for higher education. Many big companies like SAP, Deloitte, Amazon comes every year with their high eligibility criteria to hire students for the profile of marketing manager, software developer, Data science engineer. Core give very high package around 10 to 12 lakhs per annum and rest mass recruiting companies gives package around 3 to 4 lakh per annum because they hire a student in mass number which causes the average package to 7 lakh per annum
Fees and Financial Aid
As compared to other universities, affording this university is not an easy task. Its fees structure is quite high due to its brand name and every year 5 percent fees is increased every year. But scholarship opportunities are also available in this college if you have scored outstanding in10+2. Educational loans are easily provided by banks for this college up to 4lakhs(without collateral). In fact, the Allahabad bank branch is also inside the campus. The fees structure of BCA is almost 80000 per semester. Fees are taken semester wise by this college
Campus Life
College life at amity university is very memorable. Fest is being held every year in February in which a famous singer or personality always comes for performance which is very enjoying, Almost 2000 students gather in the ground to take enjoy the show. Famous personalities also come in college infrequent intervals for their movie promotion. CENTRAL LIBRARY of amity is breathtaking, Its usually as the campus of some private college, Library is highly organised with centralised ac, comfortable chairs to sit, has 100 to desktops for students to work, organised sections of large variety latest edition of books. Every year sports fest is also held with the proper opening ceremony and then go around 10days in which the number of sports is played by teams of different departments.
