Remarks

The college has big premises, library having so many books, canteen, hostel available inside premises And having a good environment for exams like GATE and ESE. Also lots of trees planted on-premises so the air is very fresh. The admission process is totally based on the MHT score by DTE Maharashtra. I prefer this college after COEP and VJTI. Hostel cost a very low amount which is 1650 / yr in the year 2021. Visit geca.ac.in for more information.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I choose the Civil course because I would like to give exams such as GATE and IES and having some interest in this field. The faculty has labs. There were 60+3TFWS+8 EWS seats for a civil branch. Faculty members are highly qualified and have good teaching experience. Due to covid situation exam based in online mode, which involves 2 class test of MCQ type and ends semister exam in the theoretical pattern. Exams based on the syllabus provided on the official website, each unit has equally distributed marks.

Course Fees: INR 41351 per year

Placement Experience

1.5

In the Civil branch, most of the students prefer higher study by giving GATE, ESE exams so less number of campus are available. Local Aurangabad's construction companies have come for an interview. My plans to crack the GATE exam and try for PUC's or IIT colleges for higher study.

Fees and Financial Aid

Overall fees for open category students in the year 2021 are 72000. For OBC students it is 41351 by filling post-matric scholarship form. For SC, ST fees are less. For TFWS, EWS fees are57000. I suggest to fill the normal option then the TFWS option (for OBC students). For Civil branch students of these college prefer highly studies so job through campus is very less.

Campus Life

Due to the Covid situation, there is neither an annual fest nor a tech fest. But college arranges so many seminars which are useful for us on Webex platform. The library contains so many books that everyone can use it. The college supports sports activities. Extracurricular activities happen every year. Geca catalyst was named a social group run by GECA students.

Hostel Facilities

Due to Covid hostel are closed. You can apply for a hostel by both online and offline mode if you are a student of GECA. Mess contain both veg and nonveg food. Mess and Canteen present inside campus. There are total 2 hostels for boys and 2 for girls.

Hostel Fee: INR 1650 per year

My perspective about my college!!

Likes

Such a huge campus and it is located not far from the city so bus and autos are always available.
Our canteens serves Misal Pav which is next level.
For a city like Amravati and a college like ours, having a tech fest is a dream but since 2022, we have been hosting a tech event called Techlons.

Dislikes

Crowd is not that amazing as most students are non-serious over here.

Placement Experience:

TCS trains us in the third year and L&T Infotech and TCS are the ones who hired students. Almost half the students were taken by these two companies with an annual salary of 6 lakhs or so. For a freshers to work in such companies is a privilege and I am glad, we get this opportunity at our college.

A Brief Theory Round Of Aissms College Of Engineering

Likes

The campus is quite big and there are proper laboratories for every subject , also the faculty is quite helpful and helps student to settle up and get along so that the teaching and doubt interaction is built up from the starting
We have metro station right outside the gate of college so the travelling is quite simple
It's also good to have a college stationary right inside the campus and with discount too!

Dislikes

The benches are small which kind off makes the students uncomfortable to sit for more than 2 hours in that space
Canteen hygiene is not maintained at all
There's no underground parking for students and lack of space for parking of two wheelers

Placement Experience:

Placements are quite good in Aissms College Of Engineering in comparison to the other one institute of Information technology. I personally have even saw seniors getting placements when they were in placement round room. And looking at all the boards the college has put up and I can definitely says that the college does get placements and companies do come

Living and Learning at IIT Bombay: My Review

Likes

Faculty and teaching assistants are so friendly and are with great experience and wisdom.
Other than education many other activities take place like NCC, NSS, sports competitions, inter IIT competitions, etc.,
Ragging, student and gender abuse are strictly banned

Dislikes

sometimes we have to work till midnight for any tech teams, any assignments, etc., if the submission is not done in proper time. But faculty don't keep any pressure or stress on students to do certain tasks

Placement Experience:

Job placements starts from 3rd year 2 nd semester or 4th year 1st semester. Many Multi National Companies, like Amazon, Google, Sony, etc.,, come to hire students. Almost 70 % of the students get jobs. Atfer completing graduation, few people begin their startups and other businesses with the knowledge gained in the university.
