Good Enriching Experience

There is no entrance exam for B.Com Hons course in Delhi University. Admissions happen basis the score that one gets in 12th exam. I chose this college because it has good academic reputation.

Course curriculum is common for all the Delhi University colleges and exam is also common. So it was nothing different for Ramjas College. Content otherwise was quite contemporary consisting of Commerce subjects. More than content the quality of teachers was exemplary.

No I don't think there were any internships in the college. Specially for the graduate courses internships are not applicable.

Ramjas college did not provide placement for their graduate students. In fact most of the Delhi Universiry colleges do not have placements for graduate courses like B.Com (Hons.). Normally students go for further studies like MBA, M.Com. or pursue CA alongside B.Com.

There was an annual fest that used to be celebrated in around May after the colleges start after the holiday break. There was usually a fest season across the North campus with several colleges having fests at this time. It is a week long celebration of music, dance and plays and a few external artists are also hired to attract masses.

Fees in Ramjas College was quite nominal. So shall be the fees for other Delhi University colleges where Government grant is used to subsidize fees of the college. Within approx Rs 10,000 I was able to complete my studies there for entire 3 years .

Ramjas college did not provide any scholarship or loan facility for their graduate students at that time.

Campus life is quite cool in Ramjas College with vast and green campus and a traditional structure. Diversity was also there in terms of gender ratio. Also it had regular competitions like Elocution etc and had a big ground for the cricket lovers. So in all it had all ingredients of a good college.

Exam format is common for all the Delhi University colleges in line with the course content. So it was nothing different for Ramjas College. Exams happen once a year in around March following a traditional pen paper format, and results are declared in around 45-60 days.

Faculty of Ramjas college was excellent. They had big shot popular personalities like P.C.Tulsian teaching Costing, N.D.Vohra teaching Operation Research etc. They have strong hold on the subject and are open to questions which made us to look forward to their classes.
