Remarks
The college has good placements statistics for the C.S. branch but those of other branches are not really well. The infrastructure of the college is also not appealing. The entire course costs around 13 lakhs to the other state students. However, the CET students or the home state students enjoy a relatively low fees for the course which is around 7-8 lakhs.
Course Curriculum Overview
My course is B.E. in computer science.The exam that I had to clear before entering this college was COMEDK. It consisted of 180 Questions in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with 60 Questions from each subject. The exam duration was 3hrs. The course is really interesting and I'm keen to learn more and more.
Placement Experience
The placements of my college are quite decent especially in the C.S. branch where their is a 100% placement statistics. The average package of C.S. branch is around 6.5-7 lakhs p.a. with the highest package around 22 lakhs p.a. More than 50 companies visit the college for campus placements. The college also provides internship opportunities for students. Many companies like Nokia, Samsung, etc.provide internship for the students.
College Events
The college has many events celebrated throughout the year. The college clubs organise different events for awareness as well as entertainment. The clubs also organise quizes and competitions. The college celebrates ethnic day, women's day, etc. The college organises Manthan which is the annual rest of the college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees is quite high for other state students coming through COMEDK, it costs around 13-14 lakhs for the entire course for other state students. However, it is quite moderate for home state students coming through CET as it costs around 7-8 lakhs for the entire course. This fees for both COMEDK and CET include hostel expenses.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college offers scholarship provided by the state government but has no scholarship offers organised on it's own. So, other state students can apply for scholarship provided by their own state but as such the college does not offer any such scholarships.
Campus Life
The extracurricular activities are quite well organised in our college and the labs are well maintained with a good helping staff.The college encourages all kinds of sport activities and the clubs also organise sport events.
Alumni/Alumna
The college maintains a good network with the alumins. The college often requests the alumnis to address the college students. The senior students also guide their juniors and are always ready to help them.
Admission
I entered my college through the COMEDK entrance exam and secured a rank of 2215. Then I attended the COMEDK counselling but couldn't get the seat in computer science branch in this college in the first round.So, I decided to wait for the second roundand then finally got a seat in the C.S. branch this time. This is how I got admission in this college.
Faculty
The faculty of my college is really good. They provide really good explanations and also help the students with their problems.But, some of them are quite strict. However, they are highly qualified and experienced. Most of them are PHD qualified and thus have a good knowledge in their response subjects.
