Remarks
I chose this university because its the best government college in my state after NIT ROURKELA. If you don't manage to get a seat there then this is your go to institute especially if you're looking to take up a core branch like electrical, mechanical or civil. The admission process is quite simple as they consider JEE marks and rank and you need to carry other relevant documents like 10th and 12th scoresheet.
Course Curriculum Overview
I cannot speak for other branches but in my branch the teachers are quite capable and very supportive. Their immense depth and knowledge about the subjects they teach makes it quite fun to attend the classes and we get to design buildings n stuff with CAD softwares, go plotting and surveying using first class equipments and our labs have top equipments from the US.
Internships Opportunities
I did do a few internships with NHAI, PWD. The college will provide you with lots of internship opportunities.
Placement Experience
Placements are quite good as our college boasts of 70-80% placements every year and the median salary is around 5 lpa. Big companies like TCS, LNT, COGNIZANT, ACCENTURE hire from here.
College Events
We've a lot of clubs here. You can join any, there is no such restriction and honestly clubs are the best part of your college life. We've our annual fests like vassaunt, annual sports meet like illumina. Our classrooms are different from the rest since we have smart classrooms. No black board or anything. We've a big led screen and the course material is uploaded on there.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The course fee is around 25000 per month and you can avail scholarship upon joining if you meet the necessary criteria. Various scholarships are available under the state govt schemes and national govt schemes since this a govt college. And if you're a M. TECH student you can work on campus to avail stipend.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is the best part about this college. There's all the freedom you need. Food is really good and bathroom are freshly tiled and we've 24 hours water supply. We celebrate every function in hostel and there's 4 cricket tournaments every year. Plus we've a mini feast and grand feast every month where u can eat as much as u want.
Admission
There was no gdpi or written test to join here. You just need to collect your necessary documents which you need to carry with you to the college on the day of admission and submit the relevant documents.
