Remarks

The college has a huge infrastructure with well maintained greenery on the campus. It has a huge auditorium for events and functions. University has best in class faculty and some departments are too good like biotech, Haryana School of Business, Printing, ECE overall it's ok to experience.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is the latest and updated as per the new syllabus. The faculty is good but you have to ask faculty for any queries or project related help. Department conducts 2 minor exams and final semester exams are there at the end of December and one in July.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 55000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The campus provides both internship opportunity on and off campus also. They also organised various summer training for students in July. There is the various workshop for project building and new latest technology too.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement of students is organised and conducted by Training & placement cell. Teaching block-7. B.tech Printing has a 100% placement ratio. CSE IT ECE has around 40%. Haryana School of Business has an 80-90% placement ratio. Overall it depends on you how much capable you are to grab the opportunity.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is balanced it's neither too much nor too low. Talking about scholarship university provide a metric, PMS scholarship, PWD scholarship etc. PMS scholarship is for SC/OBC candidates only whose family income is less than 2.5lpa for SC candidates the whole fee is refundable while for OBC candidates 9800 is given to the students in a year.

Campus Life

4.5

The lifestyle at the campus is awesome. University has no restriction for boys to come and out of the hotels at night while girls have to get in the hostel till 7 pm. The campus has the largest library in the North with an external reading hall that opens all night. University is very spacious with good and fresh air.

Good Campus, Good Learning and Overall Experience

Likes

Good campus with a lot of greenery and a peaceful environment for students.
Teachers are mostly supportive and actical classes are helpful for understanding the subjects.
Good labs, library and sports facilities with many activities happening on campus.

Dislikes

Some administrative work takes more time than expected and can be a little confusing.
Hostel and mess facilities can be improved, especially in terms of food variety and quality
Sometimes the workload and attendance requirements feel a little stressful for students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course curriculum is quite relevant and covers the important basics of Biotechnology. We get both theory and practical classes which helps in understanding the subjects better. Exams are usually moderate. I think more industry based projects and practical exposure can make the course even better. Overall, I am satisfied with the curriculum.

Best affordable quality college for middle-class

Likes

Good and well-spaced campus of the college.
Good placements with high salary packages at reputed companies.
Good, affordable college for engineering, suitable for middle-class students.

Dislikes

Poor WiFi connection at times, when too many people use WiFi at the same time.
Generator works till 11pm only at normal days.
Hostel food needs improvement, lack of quality chefs.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements after 6th semester. Numerous reputed companies offer placements, to name a few, these are HCL, Tata Consultancy Services(TCS), Wipro, Infosys, L & T, JCB, airtel, JIO, etc. The highest package to date is 27 lakhs per annum and the average package is about 6 lakhs per annum. About more than 85% of students get placed in good companies with a satisfactory package, however, good skills are required for a much higher package. I'll work hard to get a good package at a reputed company.

Fun college-but stops you from getting a job

I had to take JEE(Mains) examination to get into this college. You have to apply through HSTES official counselling website, the fees is Rs. 500 and the application starting and ending dates vary every year. So it is suggested to keep checking the applicaion dates. Also the admission is taken through university level counselling on their offical website; which takes place after the HSTES counselling. The final round is physical counselling if anyone is available or interested....Read More
