Remarks

The infrastructure is a bit old but the faculty is surely the best amongst other South campus colleges. The admission procedure includes registering over the University of Delhi website and afterwards merit list needs to check for the colleges in which we can seek admission. The overall smooth admission process is followed and post submission of documents freshers Meet is organized just after a month. The college has one of the biggest centralized air conditioned library amongst the entire university of Delhi. The placement cell is a working one and on an average 10 12 companies visit for campus drive. The college cultural festival attracts a crowd from all over the colleges nearby. The comp lab is well equipped with modern amenities and the systems are occasionally updated. The microbiology lab is one of its kind from the entire campus. There is an ample supply of almost all resources that a student would need. The canteen is neat and clean and above all the food quality is extremely.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

One amongst the best if one is looking to prepare for civil services and state of the art library facility above everything. Some of the best companies around the NCR circle visit for placements. Student ratio is 9 is to 1 when it comes to the ratio of students from Delhi and outer states so one can easily say that college has diversity in this sector.

Class Size: 35Course Fees: INR 8000 per year

Placement Experience

4.5

As mentioned earlier there is a good placement cell that offers ample placements for almost all the students. Usually, on average 12 -16 companies visit the campus for placement drive. The corporate sector firms visit on regular basis for the same.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are amongst the lowest one can expect from a college for a 3 years degree. Ranging from as low as 30000 for the entire course to 1 lakh maximum for up to 3 years. The hike is usually less than 10%.

Campus Life

The social life what makes you love this place. The reason behind this is simply the space available to hang out with on the campus. The nearest attraction is the Satya Niketan south campus that consists of a Cafe and clubs.

Flexible learning system, allowing students to manage their studies alongside other responsibilities.
Opportunity to pursue a degree from delhi university through open and distance learning.

Dislikes

Limited opportunities for regular classroom interaction and face to face engagement with teachers and fellow students.
Students pursuing distance learning may need to rely more on self-study and independent preparation
More regular communication, student support, and interactive academic activities would improve the overall learning experience

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BA English Honours curriculum at DU SOL is relevant and provides a strong foundation in literature and language. The course covers diverse topics that support academic learning and critical thinking. The flexible structure is suitable for distance-learning students. Adding more practical activities, updated study materials, and interactive learning opportunities could further improve the overall course experience.

My college was a girl's college. There are maximum 60students in a class. Prints were quite cheap in the college cafe.
There were many fest functions in my college. I also participated in the dance fest in my first year. We also used to go on picnics from college.
India's chief guest at the annual function was M Venkaiah Naidu.

Dislikes

College fees were very high for general category people.
The behavior of many teachers was quite rude and arrogant as if they were teaching us for free.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to do PhD in Political Science but due to percentage I took up BA program. Teachers used to provide notes but mostly I used to be off. There was nothing wrong with the college. Exam timings were good.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

I gave the CUET exam which gets you admission into central universities such as- Delhi University and Banaras Hindu University. I applied for delhi university. Based on my marks, i had to prepare a preference sheet of the college's which provided my interested course- Bachelor of Commerce. Among 50+ colleges i prepared the preference sheet. There are allocation round in which the University allots you a college. In the first round I was alloted Satyawati college i.e 22nd preference. It was on off campus so I had three options- accept the admission, upgrade your college or withdraw admission from University. I applied for upgrade and got Ram Lal College in 2nd round. It was a south campus college. i paid the fees and got admission. I could upgrade the college for 3rd round but decided not to as I was satisfied with the college. I wasn't interested in BHU as I read the reviews that bachelor of commerce was better in Delhi University....Read More

So, the only option that was available was to choose preference of course-college combination and list them in order. I listed Ram Lal Anand College -BSc Hons Microbiology as my First preference and I got it in my third round of Allotment....Read More

Underrated Gem of UoD

The college was alloted to me via the Delhi University entrance exam portal. I personally wanted to do the course and thats why I accepted the college in one go. If you have to get into the college just give CUET. The cutoffs are high and you will have to aim the best score for getting in DU. Personally DU was my only option as I didn't apply to any other college. The admission process is very smooth and personally I didn't face any problems there....Read More
