Entrance Preview

I wrote an examination of AIEEE in 2009. I like to took a metallurgical and materials engineering in NIT,because of my Home State. But After joined college I learned everything and anything myself . College teaches Me who I am and what I am.

Course Curriculum Overview

Not at all Good in my stream But I liked to focus on main concept of Metallurgical Laboratory and analysis. How the theory works in metallurgical engineering. Really a good course with a focus on Research in Metals and materials structure.

Yes, Based on companies and overall experience of 2 years from college

Placement Experience

Good placement for all students. 89℅ placement in my Batch. But every year 92 to 96℅ placement for students.companies like JSW Indian oil Vizag steel etc

College Events

Overall national technical event called pragyan. Overall national cultural called Festember and inter college Cultural called Nittfest. Around all over NITs and IITs

Fee Structure And Facilities

Really a good fees structure for all students and feasible

Campus Life

So many club activities are there nearly 20 club activities are there. For robotics, social services, dance, workshops, etc.

Hostel Facilities

I rate my hostel 10 out of 10. It's not a hostel it's like our Home. We can use free Wi-Fi and common TV, washing machine, RO water purifier, etc Mess food are good

We are unique and interact with every year alumni association.

Exam Structure

Exams always in Examination Hall and Labs in Laboratory department in Metallurgical engineering. Weekly twice or thrice we have lab section.

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.

High fees the government college but charging high fees making it difficult for students from lower income background to access quality education

It's like Schools .There will be special class if you didn't get much marks like schools .

Placement Experience:

From 5 th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. Lots of companies. The highest package is 26 lakhs and the average package is 1.5 lakhs. 98% of students get placed. Doing my best in a career as an entrepreneur.

To be honest it's was not my 1st preference to get admission even though I am here . Reason for rejection is distance from my home town. For mba they take cat score only and I am not sure of cutoff but it might range between 75 to 80 for general 70 to 75 for ews and obc . The entrance exam for MCA NITT is NIMCET . i got AIR 7 in NIMCET 2022 . There are 45 general seats for MCA and also there are category based reservation . NIT Trichy is the best choice

This college has a good Placements record. In 2020, NIRF ranking for the institution is 9. It has good faculty to student ratio and Research Facilities are also very good.
