Remarks

There is no such counseling day in any Du college, when the forms were out I applied for all biology courses and all the colleges offering the course after 2 months when the cut-offs were out I found myself eligible for this program in 2nd cutoff out of total 8 cutoffs, and I went to the college. the BSc courses require only PCB/PCM marks and merit is the only criteria for admission. The admission process is short and requires just one day in which we have to reach college, fill the admission form provided by the college, and move to the room allotted according to the course where I got my documents ( 10th 12th mark sheet provisional cum character certificate) and marks verified. then I waited for an hour and when I the told the documents are verified and got the annual fees paid where the whole admission process ended.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The student ratio for biology courses is 35-50 only. I chose life sciences because it is the vastest course which includes Botany zoology chemistry and we get to study biotech, biochem, immunology cell biology and several other subjects combined in one course so I got very fascinated of the course because you never get bored while studying program courses than an Hons. course. the faculty is good here and since it is a programming course we get the exposure of three departments here, out of three departments Botany department is best and if you want to pursue Botany hons. you should not think much before getting into college. all the staff and faculty is highly qualified. The chemistry department is full of the most experienced and helpful teachers, very punctual, disciplined and amiable but zoology department is WORST out of all so if you want to pursue zoology hons. from this college please go for some other. PROS: well experienced, and highly knowledgable saff CONS: zoology department

Internships Opportunities

5

The college provides great internship opportunities from nonacademics like paytm, mpl, myntra, swiggy offering 10k monthly stipend to academic internships for science students. the college is a part of science setu program which gives opportunity to students to take part in summer research training under the best scientists from best institutes like IIT and National Institute of immunology. last year I got to work in the lab of NII Delhi on the topic Xray crystallography. the college itself organizes summer internships and workshops on topics like Bioinformatics etc. in which a huge no. of students across the country take part. the college has its own Nano biotechnology labs and they give the tie to time exposure to students to the ongoing research projects. so if you are interested in research this is one of the best colleges to choose. CONS is that the college is quite partial towrads selection of students and prefers hons. students over programme students and size of lab is very small.

Placement Experience

4

Students become eligible for placement from the 2nd sem. the college has a very nice placement cell and it organizes an annual internship fair which provides students with great opportunities. A lot of students have got internships in companies like Paytm, MPL, Spotify, and several others offering 7-8 lakhs per annum which around 45 to 50 % of students get. they organize workshops for the most successful people to guide students through decision-making and career. science students get several internships, and research training opportunities last year I got to opportunity for join the lab of scientists in national Institute of Immunology under science setu programme. the interships, workshops, research training this college provoides to science students is rare in any du college so any student like me who wants to join Reaseach labs in future, Dyal singh is a great place to go to.

Fees and Financial Aid

FEES for BSc Life science in first year was 15869 which includes all charges lie examination fees etc. and the college provides several scholarships and fee concession opportunities and i am very happy and satisfied with the affordable fees the supportive administration who always helps us whenever some glitches happen. the college doesnt have any strict late fees deposit fine policy which is great. though the college doesnt provide any job kind of thing but you will come across several financial assistance.

Campus Life

4.5

Infrastructure is the only thing that makes me upset about the college though the new building, science block and evening block is very beautiful but the main college building is very old, campus isnt very clean but canteen and amphi is the most lively places which can make you fall in love with the place.the college doesnt have much greenry like other du colleges and bathrooms are worst. still students and societies makes college very lively. liberary, labs, Auditorium, are very nice. SOCIETY there are several great societies in college like NCC, NSS, women dev. cell rotract, creative writing soc and honestly the amount of exposure these societies provide unmatchable i have spent the best days found best people, got greatest opportunities the the society itself. SPORTS is a big nay, no proper cricket/football ground and very small basketball ground ANNUAL FEST Priyadrashani is of the worst du fest though celebs like hardy sandhu mankrit have performed init Society, dept is far better

I will rate the course curriculum 8/10. I like the labs specially they are modern with well equiped systems. According to me I suggest to improve the course structure to include more practical based learning instead of theory. Overall course is good.

Various companies offer multiple roles for placements on our campus like Nation With NaMo, Deloitte, KPMG, Accenture etc. and the no. of offers made usually varies between 250-400 depending on the batch. The average package is around 6.5-7 LPA and the highest usually varies from 13-15 LPA L. Usually 50 percent of the students get placed directly from campus and rest usually pursue some other academic programs or even off campus placements.

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.

Students of 6th sem are eligible for the campus selection process. Our course also have placement programs. Some companies that visit here are TCS, Wipro and few more the no of offers made depend upon the performance of student in the placement cell. The highest package as per my knowledge is 13 lakhs and the average here is 6 lakhs. Sorry for the inconvenience but I don't have any knowledge regarding the job profile given. The placement percentage changes every year depending upon the respective batch. My planning after the course is either placement otherwise my prime goal CSE.
