I had applied through WBJEE. There are 3 rounds and students are called according to their rank in WBJEE and when you confirm the college a payment of 40,000 is to be made to block the seat. Then the date of admission and all other necessary information will be provided by the college and you have to go to the college on that particular date for your admission.
Exams are taken by the University to which this is affiliated, that is MAKAUT(Formerly WBUT). Apart from the semester exam, there will be 4 continuous assessment tests and 2 practical assessment tests for each semester. Exams are pretty decent and if you follow your class properly you can manage 70-80% marks.
Placements are pretty good for noncore branches. Around 75-80% of students get placed every year. Rest of them goes for higher studies or start their own business. My short-term goal is to get a job first and gain experience. After that, I want to start my own company.

Students become eligible for campus placements in the 3rd year. The highest package was offered by byjus and was about 10 lakh per annum but there were several other instances with more than 8 lakh per annum. About 70 to 80 percent of the total students that appeared for placements. My plan remains to hold a good score throughout my college and get a good package.
