My best B.Tech days.

According to me, apart from the mess food and the bus fee for the day scholars, every other thing about my college is best.

I took CET exam which is conducted by the Karnataka govt my rank was 5613 i liked the campus and also some of the seniors had told me about this college, the faculty, placements etc.

B.Tech in electronics and communication is one of the very interesting course. I loved this subject since my PU because of which I opted for the same for my graduation as well. we have a total of 8 semesters of which first 2 semesters will be basics. we studied all the basic engg. subjects like physics, chemistry, mathematics, mechanical and civil engg., basic electronics etc the next 2 semesters had all subjects related to electronics like analog electronics, digital electronics, electronic measurements and instrumentation etc., which had all the important concepts which we are making use of in the current semester. every subject which we study has a scope for research in various fields of electronics like VLSI, designing of IC's ,designing of hardware electronic equipments etc.

Our college provides internships also but since now I'm studying 5th semester, we are eligible for internships only after this semester. I have heard from my seniors about the various companies for which they are sent for the internships. they had told that they had a very good experience there.

Placements and job opportunities are really good in our college companies like Infosys, cognizant, tech Mahindra, cisco, Wipro etc, hire students from our college they are offering packages of above 2.5 lakhs per annum about 90% of the students are getting placed.

We will be having college day once in a year which is named 'INFINITY' which signifies the endless fun which we will be having. another event named DRISHTI is celebrated during which all the students will wear traditional dresses. on the same day we will be having prize distribution for the sports winners as well as the students who have scored the best in academics apart from these cultural activities we will have various technical fests we have a club called EVALANCHE of our own electronics and communication department which organizes various inter departmental as well as intra-college competetions recently we had a competition named INVENTECH in which the students presented there innovative ideas and for the winners, the JGI ventures gave an opportunity for being an entrepreneur.

The fee structure is a bit expensive since I got seat in this college by CET allotment, I have to pay 36000 to the Karnataka govt for the college tuition fee, I pay 25000 per annum since I am a day scholar, I travel by college bus for which I pay 32000 per annum hostilities pay around 3 lakhs including hostel fee and the college tuition fee.

Scholarships are provided for merit students and for sc/st category students since I did not avail any loan facilities, I don't know about them.

We have a unitary and a sprawling global campus which spreads for a area of 300 acres. almost equal number of girls and boys are there in our college. so I can tell the gender ratio is 1:1 we will celebrate all our friend's birthdays inside the campus itself, we will have a lot of fun. workshops and guest lectures by experienced lecturers and youngsters will be organized very oftenly apart from the students of Karnataka, people from various states and countries like Nepal, Germany, Africa etc., study in our college. every one will be very friendly and no one will mistreat people from other states or country based on their traditions or race or religion. all are equal and even they respect our traditions as well every one will wear college t-shirts when they have lab, during normal days, we can wear any dresses based on our interests but we have certain rules like guys should not wear funky t-shirts, slippers and girls should not wear sleeveless dresses.

Hostel facilities are also good there are 2 and 4 seater hostels mess food is tasty and the premises will be maintained hygienic in the hostel as well as in the mess many students from other states and also from other countries are also studying in our college for them it might take a few days to adjust to the Karnataka style of cooking.

My seniors are really very helpful and are cooperative they helped me all the way providing notes, helping me understanding some concepts which were important for exams and also they guided me. the alumni and the seniors help and encouraged me and they also gave information about the extra courses which I should take up in order to have a good resume.

We will be having 3 internals and one final lab exam and the semester end exam out of 3 internals, best marks scored In 2 internals will be considered and will be reduced to 30 marks we will write the semester end exam for 70 marks which makes a total of 100 lab is based on continuous evaluation. each lab is for 80 marks and finally will be reduced to 20 marks we will be writing final lab exam for 80 marks which makes a total of 100 for lab exam since we have to take all these exams in the duration of 5 months, it will be a little hectic.

Since I was allotted this college in the CET allotment process, I had to first verify all my documents from the Karnataka govt i got the required application from the college. I filled it and paid the fee in the college itself. the administration and other facilities were good as well. the process was really not so tedious.

Each and every faculty gives there best in teaching us all the courses and they are using various methods to teach us for our better understanding some of them are PPT's, video lectures group discussions etc most of the teachers are well qualified. some of them are pursuing there Ph.D in our college itself I'm very much satisfied with the teaching of our faculty and I'm very happy for being a part of such an institution.
