Remarks

VJTI admits students to most of its programs through the MHCET exam. You can give the exam only after the 12th standard and after. It is conducted by the Director of Technical Education [DTE], Maharashtra. After taking the exam ( widely known as the CET exam ) , aspiring students are required to register themselves for the Centralised admission process (CAP). If students secure the minimum marks required for any offered courses they are given admission. There are generally 5 rounds during the admission process. For the general category, a mark of 140-160 is considered safe for securing admission in core branches. Cutoff for CS, IT, and EXTC go as high as 175. In each round of admission, you are given the choice of locking your seat or wait for a better one, except the last round. Once you get a seat for any offered course in VJTI you are required to go there for further document verifications.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose Electronics and telecommunications because of their vast scope in the electronics industry. Also, you can switch your career to the software industry if you wish. The faculty is very nice and helpful, also the faculty to student ratio is quite good which helps students to clear their doubts and get insightful guidance about their careers. Most of the faculties here are Ph.D. holders in their domains from reputed colleges like IITs.Teaching methods lack modernization and it's not up to the mark. You have to approach the faculty for learning resources and doubts. In VJTI we have a Mid-semester and End-semester. The Mid-Semester is simpler than the End-semester. These exams happen with a gap of one and a half months between them. Any student who is regularly in touch with the curriculum can easily pass the exams with average grades.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Morgan Stanely(87k), JP Morgan(60k), Goldman Sachs(75k), WorkIndia(80k), Samsung(50k), Microsoft(50k), Wipro, DeShaw, and many came to our campus for internships. The tasks were mostly related to software development and were following the AGILE framework for their task.

Placement Experience

4.5

Citi, WellsFargo, Tech Mahindra, Rakuten, Goldman Sachs, Barclays, etc many companies came and offered Jobs and internships. The highest packages offered was 30 lacs with an average of 13 lacs for CS, IT branches. From every branch, 80-95 % of students got placed. Some students prepare for GATE examinations, UPSC, GRE, TOEFL, and much more. Some accept the job offer they get and prepare for CAT examinations.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for Btech are the same for all the years which is Rs.84051 for the general category. There is no fees hike. There are many scholarship programs offered by some companies, Alumni associations, and government organizations.

Campus Life

5

VJTI hosts many fests almost every branch has got its own fest. The annual cultural fest Pratibimb is quite famous and prominent in Maharashtra. Many artists, singers, and performers all across India come here to showcase their talent. Technovanza is its technical fest which is also one of Asia's largest techno-managerial fest. It witnesses the presence of the scientific community from all over the world. The world's first humanoid Sofia also visited VJTI in 2019. Both the fests take place in the month of December. Vjti has a well-equipped library with a vast pool of books, journals, and research papers. Classrooms have low-quality seats and benches, with an outdated audio system and projector. VJTI has a well-maintained football and a cricket ground and holds the longest sports fest in India, where all types of sports are arranged for the competition. VJTI has many student clubs like:- 1) Society of Robotics and Automation 2)Aero-VJTI 3)Racing VJTI 4)IEEE-VJTI 4)Fine-arts club 5)VMCO

Focusing on student's attendence rather than focusing on students concepts. College is not focusing in development of students only paperwork is done. No conceptul teaching nor practical. By doing this stuff we can get a btech degree but not the knowledge a btech student should have.
