Remarks
Pondicherry University is recognised by the UGC and is accredited with an grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). After completing my graduation in B.B.A, I was looking for good colleges for MBA. One of my college professors told me about Pondicherry University, Puducherry. I searched it online and found it apt for my further studies. I filled up an online admission application and paid an enrollment fee around 1000. I already gave CAT exam in which I scored 78%, so was exempted from the written test. I was asked to submit my 12th marksheet scoring 75% and graduation marksheet scoring 70%.
Course Curriculum Overview
The two-year MBA program is a flagship program that is offered in 4 specializations in Finance, Marketing, Human Resource, and Operations & IT. Summer Internship Program and Soft Skills Labs are the most important part of my course tht gave me exposure to the professional world. Faculty is the backbone of the college. The professors are highly qualified and knowledgable. They were always welcoming whenever I had any doubts.
Internships Opportunities
In MBA I was also required to do the Summer Internship after the completion of the 2nd Semester. It was a paid internship in a reputed MNC that not only gave me theoretical knowledge but gave me practical exposure to handle the pressure.
Placement Experience
The University offers placements for all programmes. Pondicherry University has a placement cell that coordinates with the organisations for the placement drives. Some of the top companies that participated in the placement drive included TCS, Syntel, CTS, Accenture, Infosys, Wipro, HSBC, Satyam, HCL, IDBI, HP, L & T Infotech, ICICI, LVB, Standard Charted, Reliance, Kotak Securities, Honeywell, and Hindustan Zinc. I also got a job in a reputed MNC with a package of 1200000 LPA.
Fee Structure And Facilities
For the 1st semester I paid around 66720, in my 2nd semester I paid 8000, 43000 for the 3rd and 4th Semester 8000. I didn't got the scholarship but one of my classmate was fortunate to get the scholarship.
Campus Life
The best place to nurture our personal skills and with all the sporting and cultural events hostel life would be something all students would definitely miss. With a alumni base of 3000+ there is constant support from all seniors in whatever company we join.There are more than 10 clubs and committees which are entirely run by students. Every committee conducts an event every trimester. The college also celebrates all major festivals like Diwali, New year, Holi etc. Getting to organise all events by ourselves provides us with a plethora of management skills.
Hostel Facilities
It has AC and non- AC rooms. I opted for AC room with a twin sharing basis. The campus has got cafeterias that are open pretty much all night that I have heard. Overall the amenities provided are good. The hostel will added approximately from 50k to 60k to my fees.
