Entrance Preview

I did not take any particular entrance exam of university . I got admission through delhi university rules and guidelines.

Internships Opportunities

I did my Internship from IBM. Companies like TCS, Wipro etc. visit to the campus. Average package is around Rs 4 lakhs per annum. Alumni network should be improved.

College Events

3.5

There are many clubs and societies in college to enroll in. And all of these are major organiser of various events of college. Festive months are february and march. Competitions, games and plays are the main attractions for fests. College life, in general is cool, entertaining and an experience worth it.

Fees and Financial Aid

Course fee is around rs 6700 approx per year in Shaheed Bhagat Singh College. Many scholarships available like from cbse, ugc, and other sources, college also provide the scholarships. Mostly students get the scholarships 60%. No loans required, college is supportive.

Admission

I just got admission through my class 12 percentage . College released its cutoff online for various courses .i searched out for it ,got my marks above cutoff in second round . Then i went to the college ,there were counters for different courses .Then after a few small steps i got admission in the college.

Faculty

4.5

The teachers here know when to be greet students with a warm welcome and when to be firm and stern. Also, one of the major positive aspects is there is no issue of attendance, as such, university norms being a minimum of 66.6% in all lectures. So, it acts in favour of students taking up other part time courses such as CA,CS, ICWA, CIMA etc. Also for students taking MBA coachings or doing internships.

Placement Experience:

Almost 100% as our course students dont have to do much as getting to this college is enough. Our economics society and placement cell both work so hard to get the best companies here and that is why placements at St, Stephen's are amazing not just of our branch but overall as well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

According to me, bachelor of Arts is a waste program, it doesn't prepare you for anything except government exams. It doesn't prepare you for real world applications unless you have other in demand skills. I think there's a lot of need to change the syllabus of bachelor of Arts and teachers should be supportive and qualified. In every 6 months there's semester exams and mostly they're quite difficult.

Remarks:

Positive- Faculty is one of the best in among all colleges of Delhi University. It has the biggest infrastructure in Delhi university. Located in central Delhi which makes it easily accessible to reach Central park, red fort, and many more places in New Delhi. Negative- Annual fest is very poor in our college. Placements are not very good. Lack of sports facilities. Very strict rules and discipline.
