Remarks

Admission is based upon the marks of Class 12th. The Process of admission generally started in July but due to covid this year it will delay. The admission process is very simple, you have to bring your Marks sheets, migration certificate, provisional certificate, category certificate if any, and most importantly you have to take the college online form that you filled. Now the things are different you have to submit all the documents under the online portal. There is no such minimum age for admission but yes marks play a crucial role in taking admission to the best college of North campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

This course is good because it is not specific. You can go anywhere after doing this like you can go for jobs or you can do your masters in any field. The faculty are very good. A very good part is you can interact in this course with Chemistry, Zoology Botany faculties in Each semester. You will also learn English and EVS as well. All the faculty are well educated in Department and very friendly. The teaching method was Powerpoint presentations or lectures or seminars. The exams were not very difficult. If you go through all previous year exams you can easily get very good marks.

Internships Opportunities

Well, Companies didn't come at my time. But yes you can do internships for microscopy, chromatography, various techniques based and Teachers also support this. You can also go for a summer internship that gives you a stipend also or you can work in college labs also. The stipend is not as such good for B.Sc students like in Internship you will be paid like 5000 to 6000 max. So most of the students didn't go for internship.

Fees and Financial Aid

Well, the Fees structure is approximately 15000-20000 per year that includes all library charges, annual charges, and tuition fees, and so on. Well, there is no such placement for life sciences students but yes you can apply through placement cell.

Campus Life

Renaissance is Kirorimal college annual fest and It is one of best amongst all fest of north campus. Fests of the north campus generally take place in February or March. The library is a very nice place where you can study a lot. You can find any books and journals in the library. The library staff is also very good they will help you to find books. The classrooms are good but the air conditioners are there but the labs are fully air-conditioned. The sports ground is very big and you can play games like Cricket, Table tennis, Badminton Chess and many others. In KMC you will find various societies and you will really enjoy societies like LFT, Sehyog, NCC, NSS. Dance society. Rain dance is very famous in KMC.

ratio of girls to boys is almost equal and students are well behaved
quality of social interaction is good students are cooperative
college societies are helpful for students and provide good guiding

Dislikes

our campus have 30+ dogs which is sometimes harmful for students
there is a language barrier between students and teachers
EVs faculty is very strict and they are not cooperative

The life at SVC

Likes

The fees is quite affordable, giving you a lot of flexibility for other academic programs/ commitments
The college has a great reputation and brand value
The exposure that the college provides in real life

Dislikes

The infrastructure is old and outdated, has a lot of scope for improvement
The administrative work is very slow and includes too much formalities
Low focus on co curricular activities and sports

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements in the 3rd year of their graduation. Various companies offer multiple roles for placements on our campus like Nation With NaMo, Deloitte, KPMG, Accenture etc. and the no. of offers made usually varies between 250-400 depending on the batch. The average package is around 6.5-7 LPA and the highest usually varies from 13-15 LPA L. Usually 50 percent of the students get placed directly from campus and rest usually pursue some other academic programs or even off campus placements.

the location, nearest metro station ie Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus is at a walking distance of 2-5 mins
the crowd, students are quite decent and friendly.
opportunities, in college itself there are so many opportunities for students to explore through college societies

Dislikes

classes are canceled sometimes without any prior notice which creates a hassle for students coming from far away.

Placement Experience:

the placements of sri venkateswara college are quite good. campus placements are offered for third and fourth year students to the best of my knowledge. the average ctc offered was of 6.43 lacs, highest of 13.4 lpa. many great companies like bain and company, bcg, ey, deloitte, pwc, goldman sachs, accenture, rsa offered placements. in total, 70+ companies came and about 115+ students were placed.

I like the atmosphere in our college. Our college promotes us to think beyond the boundaries.
We have lush green campus in vivek vihar . Our campus is surrounded by parks and we'll managed societies.
The student in our college share a very good mindset . Each student has some unique qualities or the other .

Dislikes

The faculty is not very good here . The teachers don't listen to problems faced by the students .
Our college's online presence is very disturbed. Our college website lags a lot and there are always issues with attendence.
The authorities are not very well managed .

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

Likes

The College provides great Exposure to everyone.
The Crowd and Societies of the College are always active and energetic.

Dislikes

The whole structure of Admin office is underdeveloped, which utilizes a lot of our precious time.
Many of the College events are ill-organised.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.

Dislikes

Infrastructure of the college is worst. There is lack of proper buildings for classes. The canteen area is also not good. There is lack of complete apparatus in physics and chemistry labs. There are so many issues like broken seats and materials.
The college lacks a dedicated placement. There is limited structure support for students. Students have to secure internships and job offers through their personal efforts.
There is absence of societies and extra curricular activities. While the college has some clubs and events. The college does encourage students to engage in activities.

The things i liked in my college is the teching faculty provided. They have a good experience of teaching with mny research papers which have been published by them.
The second best thing is the college amenities like library and society. You will get every book required for you curriculum in the college library incuding few magzines too. The society will help you to develop other soft skills.
The most important part of college life are webinars where we interact with someone big professional like Dr. H. C. Verma sir who once visited in our college aur big faces too. Sports events, skills webinar, Cultural events makes the overall experien

Dislikes

A little bit old infrastructure can a point that is disliked by us and many students. As everyone wants to be a part of a new and good looking college
Lack of hostel facility in the college campus is a major issue. Specially for those students who are not able to accommodate in the Flats/PG due to thier financial status. But the new building will be available with all the facilities within few year

Placement Experience:

Students of 6th sem are eligible for the campus selection process. Our course also have placement programs. Some companies that visit here are TCS, Wipro and few more the no of offers made depend upon the performance of student in the placement cell. The highest package as per my knowledge is 13 lakhs and the average here is 6 lakhs. Sorry for the inconvenience but I don't have any knowledge regarding the job profile given. The placement percentage changes every year depending upon the respective batch. My planning after the course is either placement otherwise my prime goal CSE.

See...I kept Hindu college as my first reference in CSAS portal, and KMC was my 3rd preference after St Stephen's. I kept around 36 colleges with different courses. The reason I didn't keep KMC below all the colleges that I kept below KMC is because of it's upper edge in terms of academics, faculty members, location and their ranks. After I got KMC, I was really happy and when I realised that the possibilities of me getting Hindu or St Stephen's College were less, I was bit upset. KM COLLEGE - FILLED WITH COMPLAINTS ?

I chose it over others since it's the only north campus college with a good reputation and name providing Political Science Honours other than Hindu college , I preferred Hindu over it but due to inadequate marks I couldn't qualify for Hindu . Ok so I have a whole journey of my admission process . In the first round of my allocation i got confirmed admission in hansraj college for history hons then I applied for upgradation n then I got miranda house for same course but I was not happy with my course n then in round 3 under cw category I got pol science hons in kmc college I know I have already got good colleges in initial round but for my preferred course I decided to sacrifice my colleges . KMC is Karizmatic!!

St Stephens as for BSc it is arguably one of the best colleges of DU. The cut-off was just missed by some points or else, i would have been there. College wise we are also among the best and to get admissions here, CUET (UG) and then once the results are out, CSAS portal is where i registered.
