End to end Information about Jadavpur University

Well, Jadavpur University is one of the best universities in India. It has 17 departments under the Faculty of Engineering and Technology. The admission process is totally based on the WBJEE entrance exam for B.E programs. Taking the average cut-off the rank of every year if you got GMR less than 300-350 you will get chance in Electronics and Tele-communication Engineering department but it's changing always and depends on the strategy of every year students. ETCE is one of the topmost departments of Jadavpur University because of its highly qualified professors and enthusiastic students. Teachers are very good and always ready to help you by solving your doubts and they want to really expertise ourselves in the domain. It's really a good department and you will find it more interesting if you get admission to the top most departments of Jadavpur University.

Faculty members are extremely professional and highly qualified in their individual domain and all did their doctorate from abroad universities and they have the extreme quality to teach properly to make it crystal clear to students. Its curriculum is recently updated and most of the part included is VLSI design and Communication engineering in 3rd and 4th year.

A lot of students use to go abroad for internships and they are paid a high stipend and they use to do some research projects from professors of their interested domain and they got a recommendation letter from their professor which gives them chance to enlighten themselves and get a chance in internship easily. This year google came for a paid internship and hired many students by screening tests and interviews.

From the 3rd semester, students are eligible for placement. A lot of IT companies like Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Wipro, Cognizant, TCS, zomato , uber, ola, etc comes and core companies like TI, Intel, Qualcomm, etc come for ETCE students. They offer the highest package of 29 LPA and an average package of 12 LPA Almost 92-94 % are placed in total from our department in the previous year. I want to be an academician so I really want to pursue higher studies in the domain of Deep Learning application in real-world problem-solving. So want to give the GATE examination for getting M.Tech from IISC or IITs.

Fees are very much low here as it is a state government university. Only you have to pay 2560/- per year except for the IT department. Fees of IT department is high because it is not undertaken by Govt. Job opportunities are very much appreciated and you will definitely get a job in good companies.

So many tech fests happen each and every year and a lot of enthusiastic students participate in the fest and exports their innovative ideas. Jadavpur University's library is one of the biggest libraries in India and digital access is also available which ensures the availability of a lot of journals and books on anything. Classrooms have the old infrastructure but it has all the requests to deliver proper content to students. On the salt lake campus, there is a big playground where a lot of students use to play cricket, football, volleyball, etc and there is also the opportunity for indoor games like TT, Chess, etc. Besides sports, there are also cultural activities on the campus. There are clubs like Drama Club, Dancing Club, Debate Club. Besides, there are also science clubs, IEEE student branches where students explore themselves. Social works also happen at University. They try to deliver education to the poor people who really want to study but don't have money to afford it.
