My views on my college!!

I have applied for UPES DEHRADUN, IMS NOIDA, CHRIST UNIVERSITY BANGALORE, ST. JOSEPH COLLEGE BANGALORE. I have applied for BSC.IT in UPES and ST.JOSEPH and in both the colleges they were asking for mathematics as a core subject in my 12 boards, that's why I back off from both the colleges. After this, I applied for IMS NOIDA for BCA and they selected me on the basis of my 12th marks and a zoom call interview but due to some family problems I didn't take admission in that college, at last, I applied for REVA UNIVERSITY and I get selected on the basis of my 12th marks and a telephonic interview. They also provided scholarships on behalf of my 12th mark. The admission criteria for BCA was minimum 45 percentage in your 12th board and computer science as a core subject, there was no specific age requirement to join this course in REVA UNIVERSITY. Counseling was not done because of lockdown.

I choose this course cause I was interested in programming plus I was not interested in engineering. Faculty and students ratio is much balance well frankly saying faculties who are good at the subject are less where students quantity are more. Ph.D. is the highest qualification of faculties at my college and teaching method is decent compared to other colleges. Speaking about the timing of exams and semester they are the best and we'll arrange and passing the exams I would say it depends on students how they study and how focused they are for me it's moderate.

Since I'm in my second year only and most companies prefer nowadays to hire students and give internships by themselves only. So our internship starts before the second last semester followed by some projects in the last semester.

As of now since I am in my second year i don't know much about placements but I have heard from my seniors that the placements are best. The college provides assistance starting from the last year of the curriculum. College also provides some of the placement training classes.

The fee Structure at my college is well costs around RS 90,000 per year for BCA it was not too much but due to pandemics, they conducted online classes so I was not happy with the college for taking the full fee. I did get an education scholarship at my college which was based on my 12th class or high school percentage and about the job I don't have one as I am in the 2nd year of my course BCA.

Life in the campus is very dull maybe due to covid or whatever.. but I guess it was much better before Covid as much as I have heard from my seniors. I don't know if our college conducts any fest or not.. since my college life started in the midst of covid.. I actually didn't get the chance of living an actual college campus life. But on the college website, I have seen that they organize many fests within a year!!
