Remarks
The admission Process overall was quite smooth, as the officials of the university helped me throughout. I applied via the international student quota. We had the requirement wherein we had to get a minimum of 60% in 12th boards.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum for the engineering student was very flexible and enriched with knowledge of current technology and it was upon us to choose what subject to study. Moreover, we had the option to even choose the teacher for each subject. This process of choosing everything is called FFCS(A fully flexible credit system).
Internships Opportunities
The companies come during the third year of engineering to provide internships to students, and many good companies come such as Amazon, Visa, Wipro, etc. Also, it is compulsory for a student to undergo at least one internship.
Placement Experience
The campus placement is the most appealing thing VIT has. More than 500 companies come around the year and provide jobs for various roles. Most of them are related to IT and CSE. Package ranges from as low as 1.5 lakh to 50 lakh per annum. While the average is 7 lakh.
Fees and Financial Aid
Being from the international student quota, the fees were a little higher than what one could get from a normal entrance. The fees are divided fairly based on the rank for VITEEE. The scholarship is provided to those who are star performers for the state.
Campus Life
A student of VIT will never feel alone, as the university provides loads of fest, chapters, and clubs. Socially one is always active, be it in the classroom or outside. Moreover having a big campus, comes with having big grounds which means the sports facility was above par.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels were cleaned day today. We had the option to chose AC rooms or not. Water was never an issue, as VIT has its own water refinery system installed on the campus. The fees are structured based on the number of students that would live in a room.
