Genuine Review about my college

I did not attend any college counseling except VIT. I do not have any quota for admission, I belong to general category. Admission criteria was to secure rank below 1 lakh out of 4 lakh odd and Marks will not be displayed. Admission process completed in a single day like assigning Id card, allocating hostel room, fingerprint, Document verification, Bank accounts etc.

There are two reasons, One is I'm from a mathematics background in 12th which made me opt for Computer science as I'm interested in problem-solving and the other is my senior suggested me to take Computer science since it has a lot of job opportunities. Faculty and student ratio is 1:100 roughly, Since every hundred students use to have a proctor as a guardian and there were Associate Professors. Teaching methods used be much in digital and they used to assign projects and lab works to students. Out of 8 semesters, Every Semester used to have 3 written exams which includes two continuous assessment tests and one Final assessment test along with lab exams and project reviews.

There are many internship opportunities available in our college like Research-based internships in IITs/NITs and abroad internships. There are also few companies that come for recruiting students for their internships in the end of 3rd year. Few Comanies offer Stipend.

Placement opportunities are high in branches like CSE/IT , moderate in ECE and low in MECH/CIVIL. Packages vary from 4-30 lakhs which are classified into Regular, dream and Super dream Regular - 4lakhs Dream 5-10lakhs Super Dream - 10-30 lakhs 90% of students get placed in the campus but branches like CSE/IT will only get higher packages. People go for masters after the graduation, few go for jobs etc.. I'm currently preparing for UPSC recently left the job.

Fees Structure depends on multiple factors rank(1-100000), course you are opting for (CSE,IT,ECE,MECH,) Campus (vellore, Chennai, amravathi, bhopal) Fees structure depends on the category you get category -1 : 2lakh (approx) category -2 : 3lakh category -3 : 4lakh category -4 : 4.5lakh category -5 : 5lakh Students can get a Scholarship if the rank is below 20,000 Every year campus gets around 400 companies for recruitment. Placement chances are high in branches like CSE/IT moderate in ECE and low in MECH/CIVIL.. etc

College used to have two fests in a year, one in each semester. one is technical fest which is GRAVITAS and the other is cultural fest RIVIERA. there used to have a wide range of books available in the library. Classrooms have finger prints for attendance, benches, smart boards, blackboards. Sports and extracurricular activities conducted during cultural fest riviera. many clubs exist in VIT Dance club, music club, Sports club, Technical clubs, photography club, etc.

In my 4 years, I've been in different rooms like 6 sharing, 4sharing, and 2 sharing. There are A/c rooms and non A/c rooms. South Indian mess, north Indian mess, and special mess used to be the options for different people in the college. College food is really good.
