HONEST REVIEW OF VIT VELLORE

Due to corona, we had online counselling where we had to chose courses according to our choice according to the category upto which you can afford and after a week after we were allotted the course in a specific category.

I had chosen this course because as I have said earlier that we had to choose courses while counselling according to our choice. after that vit itself gives you according to your list of courses you selected in the counselling so I have got this course. Note: you can't change your course after being allocated vit. talking about faculty: student ratio we have an avg of 65 students per class which is okish. Some teachers are highly qualified but they don't know how to teach. they just start complex things from the very first class and then we have to study from YT. some are not much qualified but they know how to teach the subject and some are highly qualified and know how to teach. one thing also to notice is that you have to choose from which faculty you want to study. it sounds really good but when you do you will be frustrated in doing this thing.

Internships are not provided by the college. It's the duty of the child itself to search for internships. He can search on LinkedIn or other websites. Students get a chance in their 7 or 8 sem. Students have to attend a 2 months compulsory internship as part of the course. the average companies will hire the students and stipend as 20-30k per month and it may also increase with the project difficulty.

placement cell is very good in vit. I want to advise that please prepare for one programming language like C++, JAVA. concepts of algorithm, in database SQL and some reasoning that's fine. you need to try for good CGPA like more than 8 CGPA. From 3rd sem ending or 4th sem starting students become eligible for placements. There are lots of companies visiting the campus every year such as Microsoft, Amazon, TCS, Infotech, Paypal etc.

in vit you have your fees according to your category:- 1st category:200000/year. 2nd category:300000/year. 3rd category:400000/year. 4th category:450000/year 5th category:500000/year. I am a second year student and as of now, there is no fees hike. And yes you have a scholarship if you get very good ranks in jee. there is financial assistance also for students whose family income is less than 200000/year. If you want to join the college just for placement then you must join this college but placement is mostly for cse, it and ece branch and okish for eee branch and other branches it is not that good.

I am a 2nd year student and I have still not gone to college because of the pandemic. but as I have listened from seniors we have two fest gravitas and Rivera. talking about the library it's huge. you have most of the books available in the library but you have to pay a fine if you don't return the book on time. in vit there are a lot of clubs and chapters in which you can give your interview and get selected. The main advantage of clubs is that you get more chances to interact with serious.
