Remarks

For getting a good college especially a North campus college you need to score really well in CBSE board exams. Then only you will get your dream college as well as the course you want to study. I appiled for Ramjas college too and I even took admission there but for zoology Kirorimal college is considered as the college having best zoology department in delhi university. For every North campus college and if we talk about science streams you need to have minimum 95% as these days students are scoring 98-99% in there 12 board exams. Teachers are very friendly and helpful. And at the time for counseling seniors and teachers all are there to help you out. Whether it is filling of admission form, taking photocopies or print outs. They make the admission process really smooth for you. If you are applying under quotas like for sports or other extracurricular activities then for you the selection criteria marks are less.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The reason I chose Zoology was I liked this subject more than anything. 4 hours of lab is the most important part of this course because it helps us to connect things written in book and how they actually existed in real life. Our department had 10 teachers and 3 teachers used to teach 1 subject. 50 students in class and I consider this as the best student teacher ratio. Majority of the teachers in DU are highly qualified having doctorate, post doctorate as well as NET JRF. With their qualifications and their teaching experience KMC zoology department makes the best faculty for Zoology in DU. Semester exams are conducted and these conducted twice in year. Every semester also has internal assessment before the semester exam. These exams are quite easy and you can score really well in them.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

The head of the department offers you the opportunity to work as an intern in various labs in Delhi NCR like students go for internships to THSTI Faridabad and many other renowned institutes of Delhi/ NCR. This internship is not paid but it gives a lot of lab experience. They also take you to department visits in different institutes.

Placement Experience

4

We do have a placement cell for the students who are from commerce background. And for my course(zoology) 1) majority students go for academic field like MSc then Phd. 2) students go for government exams like SSB, AFCAT, CAT, UPSC and many more. 3) students go for b.ed 4) there are some students who have also been employed by private firms like TCS.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is 10000 per year. There is placement cell in Kirorimal college where a number of students get placed at really well places. Financial assistance is provided to students for which college release notice every year and interview is conducted for these students to avail fees concession. These interviews are conducted by faculty members of the college. And one can clear interview by having a good academic background since 10 standard and asusual performing well in interview. There are other scholarship also for which many students apply like CSSS, Inspire for which documentation is done in the college office. DU is the most cheapest University one can find with so many facilities. That's why it gets tough to get admission here.

Campus Life

4.5

Renaissance is the annual college fest for which the portfolio holders of the college workday night and an entire year to make this successful. This annual fest is one of the best annual fests and it is a dream of every student of DU to be a part of it. From famous brands to famous celebrities make KMC fest is at the top of the list. Department fests are also conducted every year. The fest is conducted every year in the month of March. The library facility is nice with AC reading rooms and reference books of the syllabus. But there are issues that students are not able to find the book as it has been already issued. So for this, it is advisable to get your books issued and photocopied at the beginning of the semester so that there is no problem at the time of semester exams. Fines are taken for late book return. KMC has a lot of socities like drama, musoc, debating then prayas and many more. There are again selection rounds of every society. And KMC has a gym too and a sports complex.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.

The highest package as per my knowledge is 13 lakhs and the average here is 6 lakhs. Sorry for the inconvenience but I don't have any knowledge regarding the job profile given. The placement percentage changes every year depending upon the respective batch. My planning after the course is either placement otherwise my prime goal CSE.
