Remarks

While searching for colleges to do my MBA, I found on the internet that PU, a central university offers the course. I also found out that they offer good placement opportunities and have high quality education at such nominal fee. So I decided to apply for it. The application process is completely online. I paid Rs. 1000 and got myself registered. As I had a good CAT score I got selected for the interview and finally got admitted for the course.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

PU offers a 2 year MBA course. They have more than 4 streams of specialization, and the course is very modern and helped me understand different aspects of marketing. The whole management department and the faculties were very helpful. We had a very good bond with our teachers. There is no fixed schedule for the exams; they are conducted at various times across the semester.

Placement Experience

4

Overall the recruitment percentage at PU is quite okay. Top recruiters that visit PU include Infosys, Zomato, Flipkart and HCL. The placement percentage was 90% during my batch. 10 lpa was the highest CTC offered, while 6 lpa was the average

Fee Structure And Facilities

PU has comparatively very nominal fee. It was 2 lakh for the whole course. They did offer us some scholarships/financial aid. This was based on the academics. Madanjeet Singh Group Scholarship, Scholarship for Single Girl Child and Scholarships for students from Pondicherry were some of the programs that we could apply for.

Campus Life

5

The campus is huge and is full of greenery. There are buses and autos available inside for transportation. There are many communities, clubs and organizations and they all conduct events and competitions. We had free Wi-Fi connections. The library was well stocked and stays open till 1 at night.

Hostel Facilities

4

I had applied for the hostel during the registration, so I was allotted a seat once I got admitted for the course. The hostels for the first years are the new ones. They are better and neat, during the second year we had to move to the older ones. The food at the mess was good; they generally serve South Indian food. The rent just like the fee is very nominal and affordable.

Placement Experience:

From the final year which means 5th and 6th semester for undergraduate students and 3rd and 4th semester for Post graduate students, it is eligible for them to attend the campus placements. In my MBA, we'll be eligible for next semester to attend the placements. But for undergraduate students, they might have got chances now to attend the placements. The companies visited for us when I was in Undergraduate in the same Loyola College are Deloitte, Accenture, Standard Chartered, Goldman Sachs, RR Donneley, Bank of America, Sutherland, Infosys, Cognizant, TCS, Equinty, Turing, and many more small companies also came. The overall placed students numbers were almost more than 300 among the final year students alone in the college which is a great achievement. The highest package offered for us is ?700000 from Goldman Sachs and the average package we received is ?300000 which is from all the small companies. The percentage of placed students in our college is almost 85% from our batch alone. So we hope that in this batch there might be more than 90%. The reason for 85% in our batch is most of the students has moved for higher studies. My plan after getting degree is to get a senior most position in any of the big company and grow in my career.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement from 3rd year 6th semester itself but the college does not bring any company for placement on time. 5 years back standard companies lkke tsc, hcl, cts etc used to come. But nowaday it is very rare. Lowest package is 2 lpa and highest package is 6 lpa. Average is 4 lpa. Very least students get placed. Try off campus. Do not believe the college
