Remarks

I applied for acharya Narayan dev college, shree venketeshwar college and kirori mal college. The former two colleges were on the south campus and kirori mal college is located on the north campus So I took admission to KMC. The minimum marks for admission in BSc honors Chemistry in kirorimal college were 95 in best of three. I did not avail any quota. The admission process was simple

Course Curriculum Overview

Chemistry is an interesting subject with lots of experiments to practice and perform in the lab. It's quite realistic. The teachers are highly intelligent and helpful. Most of the teachers have done their masters from IITs or from top Delhi colleges. The lab work and experiment in the curriculum are done with efficiency and precautions are taken care of which helps students in the outer world and in industry. About 95% of students passed in my batch. Exams are timely and with proper study, it's easy to pass

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 15000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Various internship opportunities are present. One of them is under DC shaw. The stipend was 50 thousand per month for straight two months. Data operator, social media handle manager, etc are the objects.

Placement Experience

In the sixth sem students become eligible for placements. The college placements are ok as this is not an engineering college. About 40% of students are placed. But the percentage has come down for our batch due to coronavirus. Students are placed in pharma and chemical companies and the average package is between 6 to 7 lakhs. My plan is to do UPSC

Fees and Financial Aid

Kirorimal college is a government college and is easily affordable by middle class. The cost to study is around 15 thousand rupees per year. Students get scholarships like NSP and internships give you different stipend. There was no fees hike due to online learning and coronavirus

Campus Life

The college fest is called Renaissance and is organised in the month of March. Books and journals are easily available in library and you can easily renew. The infrastructure facility of the college is good. The labs and hostel are spacious and well maintained. Equipments in labs and sports are nice. The canteen provide hygienic and fresh food. Although equipments and ground for each and every game is not available. Chemsoc, debsoc,kartavya,Nss, players there are many societies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I will rate the course curriculum 8/10. I like the labs specially they are modern with well equiped systems. According to me I suggest to improve the course structure to include more practical based learning instead of theory. Overall course is good.

venky is one of the best college in south campus

Likes

ratio of girls to boys is almost equal and students are well behaved
quality of social interaction is good students are cooperative
college societies are helpful for students and provide good guiding

Dislikes

our campus have 30+ dogs which is sometimes harmful for students
there is a language barrier between students and teachers
EVs faculty is very strict and they are not cooperative

The life at SVC

Likes

The fees is quite affordable, giving you a lot of flexibility for other academic programs/ commitments
The college has a great reputation and brand value
The exposure that the college provides in real life

Dislikes

The infrastructure is old and outdated, has a lot of scope for improvement
The administrative work is very slow and includes too much formalities
Low focus on co curricular activities and sports

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements in the 3rd year of their graduation. Various companies offer multiple roles for placements on our campus like Nation With NaMo, Deloitte, KPMG, Accenture etc. and the no. of offers made usually varies between 250-400 depending on the batch. The average package is around 6.5-7 LPA and the highest usually varies from 13-15 LPA L. Usually 50 percent of the students get placed directly from campus and rest usually pursue some other academic programs or even off campus placements.

Likes

the location, nearest metro station ie Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus is at a walking distance of 2-5 mins
the crowd, students are quite decent and friendly.
opportunities, in college itself there are so many opportunities for students to explore through college societies

Dislikes

classes are canceled sometimes without any prior notice which creates a hassle for students coming from far away.

Placement Experience:

the placements of sri venkateswara college are quite good. campus placements are offered for third and fourth year students to the best of my knowledge. the average ctc offered was of 6.43 lacs, highest of 13.4 lpa. many great companies like bain and company, bcg, ey, deloitte, pwc, goldman sachs, accenture, rsa offered placements. in total, 70+ companies came and about 115+ students were placed.

I like the atmosphere in our college. Our college promotes us to think beyond the boundaries.
We have lush green campus in vivek vihar . Our campus is surrounded by parks and we'll managed societies.
The student in our college share a very good mindset . Each student has some unique qualities or the other .

Dislikes

The faculty is not very good here . The teachers don't listen to problems faced by the students .
Our college's online presence is very disturbed. Our college website lags a lot and there are always issues with attendence.
The authorities are not very well managed .

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

The Honest Opinion about Hansraj College

Likes

The College provides great Exposure to everyone.
The Crowd and Societies of the College are always active and energetic.

Dislikes

The whole structure of Admin office is underdeveloped, which utilizes a lot of our precious time.
Many of the College events are ill-organised.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.

The faculty of this college is highly supportive. It is known for their approachable and helpful nature. They are dedicated to teaching. They create a positive environment for students. They guide the students very well and support them highly.
College has a calm and quiet environment. It is surrounded by greenery. It is located in rural area. It is away from noise of city. It helps students to focus on their studies in a stress-free environment. It provides students a peaceful learning.
College provides a good transportion. It is situated nearby a bus depot. The college has its own bus also. It makes easy for students to travel to and from the college.

Dislikes

Infrastructure of the college is worst. There is lack of proper buildings for classes. The canteen area is also not good. There is lack of complete apparatus in physics and chemistry labs. There are so many issues like broken seats and materials.
The college lacks a dedicated placement. There is limited structure support for students. Students have to secure internships and job offers through their personal efforts.
There is absence of societies and extra curricular activities. While the college has some clubs and events. The college does encourage students to engage in activities.

Likes

The things i liked in my college is the teching faculty provided. They have a good experience of teaching with mny research papers which have been published by them.
The second best thing is the college amenities like library and society. You will get every book required for you curriculum in the college library incuding few magzines too. The society will help you to develop other soft skills.
The most important part of college life are webinars where we interact with someone big professional like Dr. H. C. Verma sir who once visited in our college aur big faces too. Sports events, skills webinar, Cultural events makes the overall experien

Dislikes

A little bit old infrastructure can a point that is disliked by us and many students. As everyone wants to be a part of a new and good looking college
Lack of hostel facility in the college campus is a major issue. Specially for those students who are not able to accommodate in the Flats/PG due to thier financial status. But the new building will be available with all the facilities within few year

Placement Experience:

Students of 6th sem are eligible for the campus selection process. Our course also have placement programs. Some companies that visit here are TCS, Wipro and few more the no of offers made depend upon the performance of student in the placement cell. The highest package as per my knowledge is 13 lakhs and the average here is 6 lakhs. Sorry for the inconvenience but I don't have any knowledge regarding the job profile given. The placement percentage changes every year depending upon the respective batch. My planning after the course is either placement otherwise my prime goal CSE.

See...I kept Hindu college as my first reference in CSAS portal, and KMC was my 3rd preference after St Stephen's. I kept around 36 colleges with different courses. The reason I didn't keep KMC below all the colleges that I kept below KMC is because of it's upper edge in terms of academics, faculty members, location and their ranks. After I got KMC, I was really happy and when I realised that the possibilities of me getting Hindu or St Stephen's College were less, I was bit upset. But my sadness didn't last long cause later on after researching about KMC in detail I realised that it's no different from all the other colleges of North campus and some of the south campus colleges. KM COLLEGE - FILLED WITH COMPLAINTS ?

I chose it over others since it's the only north campus college with a good reputation and name providing Political Science Honours other than Hindu college , I preferred Hindu over it but due to inadequate marks I couldn't qualify for Hindu . My journey at Kirori Mal college

Ok so I have a whole journey of my admission process . In the first round of my allocation i got confirmed admission in hansraj college for history hons then I applied for upgradation n then I got miranda house for same course but I was not happy with my course n then in round 3 under cw category I got pol science hons in kmc college I know I have already got good colleges in initial round but for my preferred course I decided to sacrifice my colleges . KMC is Karizmatic!!

St Stephens as for BSc it is arguably one of the best colleges of DU. The cut-off was just missed by some points or else, i would have been there. College wise we are also among the best and to get admissions here, CUET (UG) and then once the results are out, CSAS portal is where i registered. I booked my seat through there and locked ut before it was gone. Yes, sometimes we miss out on our favourite college due to that but it is inevitable to lock that on time as well....Read More
