Internship

I applied for the Vellore institute of technology university for my B.tech in computer science engineering degree. It's a 180 credit course. The admission criteria for admission in VIT is 60% in PCM and VITEEE scores rank above 30,000. Students have to start filling application forms from mid of November. After filling the admission form students will be allocated to the exam centre where they will have to reach the centre before 15 minutes to complete the verification and e-sign process. After verification of the student, they will be assigned a computer for an MCQ-based entrance exam which will consist of 4 parts. English, Physics, Maths, Chemistry of 12th standard and some basics of 11th standard.After completion of the test students will leave the centre and when the result is declared they will be communicated with their rank and eligible branch where they can apply for admission. After result declaration students will undergo counselling for their confirmed allotment of seats in there.

I choose CSE as I'm interested to pursue my web development hobby as a career. This course basically helps us to learn all about computers with depth knowledge of how it works. In VIT faculty are well equipped with their knowledge in their respective field and are available to clear doubts whenever students reach them. The student's ratio is 1:1 and it's a very nice environment and a social environment where you will make lots of friends and won't be alone. Here, every faculty is a PhD holder and they provide material in both offline and online mode. IN offline mode we have class notes and in the online mode, we have a presentation uploaded on the college online portal. In VIT exams are called FAT and CAT where CAt is like a midterm exam and FAT is the final exam. They are easy to pass and sharpen your skills as only important questions are asked in the exam.

Companies Like GAP, NASDAQ, TIGER ANALYTICS, etc came for internship offers and give stipends above 35,000/-. Roles of interns were offered in various filed like software development or data analyst interns, etc. Every company asks a question based upon the project which we have made in the previous semester and the quality of the project. The better the project, the unique the idea the more chance of getting placed in MNC's. SO, the project is a very important task and it also sharpens our skills.

From the 5th semester companies start coming for internships and from the 7th semester, the company comes for jobs. Every company gives a handsome stipend and salary and everyone gets equal opportunities for applying and mostly students get placed with a package above 6LPA. About 150+ companies visited in the 5th semester which offer stipends above 40,000/- and CTC above 10LPA. The highest package offered in the year 2020 is 75LPA from an MNC and 25LPA from amazon and other big firms. Every student was trained well from the 5th semester for company interview rounds which made it easier to get placed with the right guidance.

Fees of VIT is little high as compared to other institute but it also gives scholarships to the students who scored rank above 100 in VITEEE. Students who scored below 100 ranks but above 200 are given a 50% scholarship and in this way the scholarship is given to performers who scored rank above 10,000 in VITEEE. VIT is famous for its placement as 100% of students are placed with the highest CTC 45lakh given on-campus interviews.

Advitya is the annual fest which takes place in VIT where everyone gets a chance e to perform whatever they wish to either solo or in a team. Every club has an exhibition. Celebrities are called like nucleya and other bands including stand-up comedians. In library have every book and if by chance some books are not available then library order it asap for students. Every classroom is equipped with smart boards and green boards for both types of lectures. Students can take part in any sports they like for example cricket, football, Table tennis, squash, basketball, volleyball, etc.

Hostel in VIT are of various kinds and it depends on which type of room you have chosen for example 4 Beds, 2 Beds, 6 beds, 8 beds, 12 beds, etc with AC/NAC. every hostel has 2 mess. 1 for veg and another for non-veg and the food quality is fine and very month the menu is changed. When we go for counselling then and there we have to fill the form for hostel room preference and pay the amount. You can get a PG out of campus but 1 year in a hotel is a must after that we can change.
