Best Internships and Placement

I gave WBJEE 2020 and got selected in Jadavpur University Mechanical Department. For admission in this University, the minimum age is 18 and the maximum age is 25. As at that time covid-19 was going on, so our admission was going online just by providing certain documents like medical certificate, income certificate, school results, WBJEE rank card and domicile certificate by submitting it in the pdf format. Later a offline recheck was held in which the following documents that we submitted was to be shown to the official authorities and finally admitted to this University.

I was eager to study Mechanical Department inspiring from the cars, also from this Department we can join any software company, also the software companies come and recruit Mechanical Students. 90% of professors are PhD qualified. The exam was normal, it's simple, just required a practice in all subjects of that semester.

As I mentioned, students from 3rd year gets internships. In my department, mostly automotive companies, some famous NGOs and some software companies give internships to the certified students by taking their exams. As our college is going online, so I don't know much details about it. What I know, I just wrote about the internships.

Students become eligible from the 5th semester for campus placements and internships but most students gets placement in the 4th year. Multiple companies come like Wipro, TCS, Bajaj, Airbus, BMW and many. The highest placement from Mechanical is 8LPA and overall is approximately 50LPA from CS department in a software company. 80% of students apply for placement. Out of the approximately 90% of students get placement. My plan after getting the degree is GATE and UPSC.

The fee they took from me for 2years is Rs5210. Also, some students get scholarships and stipends but that will be provided for economically weak students. The famous Scholarship is the Siemen Scholarships. Almost 50% of students have Siemen Scholarships.

The annual fest is Sanskriti. As we joined during Covid time so, I don't know when does it occur. This fest is for the whole Jadavpur University. Also department fest also occurs. The name of that is Ajantrik. There is a Central Library where all types of books, journals, research papers are there. Every department also have it's own department library. Sports is also there like football, basketball, volleyball, cricket. Even indoor games like Table tennis, Badminton is also there. There are various clubs like Jadavpur University Science Club, Jadavpur University Mountaineering Club, Motorsport Club, chess club and much more. All the clubs are run by the students itself.
