Remarks

I had applied for Other IITs and NITs but after research, I found out that VIT- Vellore has more NIRF ranking than many IITs and NITs and It also has a very good NAAC score and also Good placements. For my Batch that is 2020, due to COVID VIT gave admission on the basis of JEE mains rank and Board percentile instead of their entrance exam that is VITEEE. The admission process was also very smooth and due to COVID, everything was online.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose CSE with a specialization in the business system because the course is in collab with TCS itself so it provides all required industrial experience to the students in college. The faculty-student ratio in VIT-Vellore is around 9. Faculties are very qualified, they also have a research background and they are very supportive. There is a total of 3 exams in one semester two midterm exams that are CAT-1(Continuos assessment test) and CAT-2 and One final exam FAT(Final Assessment Test).

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 195000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are many Internships opportunities available for 3rd and 4th-year students. These internships prepare students to face real Industrial problems and also helps them in their careers.The placement cell of VIT-Vellore provides all information about Internships through mail.

Placement Experience

VIT-Vellore is recognized for its placements. Many globalized companies visit campuses every year for placements, Such as Microsoft, Google, Facebook, etc. The average package for my course is around 9 lakh and the highest package is around 35 lakh. My plan is to get a good offer from the campus so that I can have a base atleast.

Fees and Financial Aid

In VIT-Vellore for students who got admission under category-1, the tuition fee is 195,000, and hostel and mess fees are around 50,000 respectively. So in total, the least cost for 1 year is around 3 lakh rupees and there are many types of messes(Special or Regular) and hostels rooms (AC or NON-AC). VIT gave scholarships to those who gets good ranks in VITEEE.If I talk about myself, I'm from Gujarat and there is a scholarship called MYSY for Gujarati Students and Scholarship amount is 60K.

Campus Life

Campus life in VIT-Vellore is pretty much the same as other colleges but the Campus is a bit crowded. Riviera is the name of the annual fest and it is one of the biggest college fests in INDIA. The college has a huge library and they have all the books needed. There are many sports options and extracurricular activities available.

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.

Placement Experience:

From 5 th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. Lots of companies. The highest package is 26 lakhs and the average package is 1.5 lakhs. 98% of students get placed. Doing my best in a career as an entrepreneur.
