Remarks
The admission into this college happens via an online examination VITEEE, which covers the same syllabus as the JEE Mains. The institute is flexible to give students the liberty to decide upon their preferred date and time to sit for the exam. In 2018, the exam was conducted in an examination center with strict proctoring. But from 2020, the exam has been shifted to a remote-based examination, which students can appear for from their homes.
Course Curriculum Overview
The institute does not compromise with the quality of teaching whatsoever and hence have appointed the best of the professors (mostly all the facilities here hold a PhD). The institute also gives students the opportunity to get involved into research projects with professors who have an expertise in that field.
Internships Opportunities
The college also has companies coming to the campus to recruit paid interns, who are also offered a full-time placement in the same company based on their performance. Almost every company which comes to recruit interns pays a minimum stipend of 30k.
Placement Experience
The college boasts a 100% placement which is also true to a very large extent. Every year more than 500 companies visit the campus to recruit students from all the branches and have ample of internship opportunities as well.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college offers different fee structures for students based on their VITEEE ranks. Though the tuition fee is more or less same as most of the IITs, the hostels can become a bit expensive of a student wishes to live in a single-occupancy air-conditioned room, and take a special food mess. VIT has kept the options open to give students the liberty to choose the kind of hostel they want to live in and the mess they want to eat from.
Campus Life
The campus is extremely lively and has ample of opportunities to be a part of social communities, student chapters etc. Some of the clubs in the college are; Radio club, Rotary Club , Dramatics, Fine Arts, Tracking Club, Music Club, Dance Club, Toastmasters etc.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are very well maintained, with an active service department who takes charge of repairing any faults in the room as quickly as possible. The Hostels are cleaned regularly and offer the service of getting our rooms cleaned regularly as well.
