Remarks

i) I had applied to Ramanujan and Motilal Nehru College before joining ANDC. I didn't join both because ANDC has a relatively higher NIRF ranking than both. Moreover, ANDC is situated in a peaceful environment, which seems a better place for studying. The admission procedure is very simple it is based on the cutoff, if one is qualifying for the cutoff then they are eligible to apply. So if you are qualifying for the cutoff then you can apply by selecting your intended course and making a payment of about 7000 on the DU students portal. Once you have applied then you will have to wait till evening for confirmation of your admission. College confirms your admission by checking your all required documents.

Course Curriculum Overview

I selected BSc. Maths Hons. because I am fond of mathematics. I wanted to learn more mathematics as it's my favorite subject. 1:62 is the teacher-student ratio in class. Faculty is highly qualified. Most of teachers have PhD degree. And rest are persuing PhD having MSc degrees. Overall teaching method is average. The faculty of Real Analysis is worst, faculty of Calculus is quite good and facuilt of Group Theory is average. Semester exams are always taken on time there would be no delay. And passing semester exam is not a big deal. If one would study on an average level then also can easily quilify the exam.

Class Size: 62Course Fees: INR 2023 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is quite affordable it's about 7000 per year. And also have to pay about 500 as your examination charge during semester exams. Several scholarships are being provided like Saksham. There is no job opportunity. You can't get campus placement by doing this course from this college. To promote research by students the college offers ELITE (Education in a Lively Innovative Training Environment) scholarships to 200 students for summer training and projects.

Campus Life

Annual Cultural Fest: Leiothrixx. Technical Fest: Overload++. The library has lots of books and journals and it's spacious. We have a proper playground. There are several societies like Debating Society: Tark, NSS, Eco Club.

Some knowledge some confusion

Placement Experience:

Students of 6th sem are eligible for the campus selection process. Our course also have placement programs. Some companies that visit here are TCS, Wipro and few more the no of offers made depend upon the performance of student in the placement cell. The highest package as per my knowledge is 13 lakhs and the average here is 6 lakhs. Sorry for the inconvenience but I don't have any knowledge regarding the job profile given. The placement percentage changes every year depending upon the respective batch. My planning after the course is either placement otherwise my prime goal CSE.

College life in Acharya Narendra Dev College (ANDC), DU

This college was no.1 in my CUET preference list. I did few other courses for safer side but this course as well college was my top choice as it covers a lot of areas which are taught in MBBS and is quite interesting. Delhi University has 3 colleges for Biomedical Sciences, in which ANDC is the top college in terms of ranking that's why out of all three colleges this was my first choice. A few other options that I kept for me was microbiology, biochemistry in colleges such as Gargi and Deshbandhu. The college accepts your scores from CUET in subjects biology, chemistry and physics. The acceptance is done on the basis of your scores as well as your preference list. As this college was first on my preference list, I didn't get to face any rejection.
