Remarks
It is the Central University with affordable fee. For girl student, accommodation was free. As Pondicherry being a tourist place, it is having good environment to study and to explore Pondicherry. Admission process was easy through entrance exam. By University official website, I got to know about this.
Course Curriculum Overview
I am having interest in studying life science and want to pursue PhD. Internal exams were taken time to time by faculty by taking practicals daily. Many other activities like presentation, assignments were given.
Placement Experience
For my department only one company came. Might be for other department like MBA, Bioinformatics companies came with good packages and many students are placed. My plane is to pursue PhD, so I ignored the placement.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Being a central university, fee was less as compared to private University but was little high if we compare other central university. But still everyone can afford this. Campus placement cell was not good for my department. Schlorship are given to the students securing good marks.
Campus Life
Life of Pondicherry University is awesome. No other University can provide this environment I guess. University believes in gender equality and hence female students were also having same rights as male students, in terms of going somewhere outside, returning University, etc. Mess food is bad and in terms of North Indian students, food is disgusting. Infrastructure is very good. Currently new construction are going on in University. Many other cultural activities are held from different regions of India as students from all the the country come to take education in Pondicherry University.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel accommodation is free for girl student. For boys it is chargable but that too with very low cost. So, no issue with this. Network issue might be there with many people as University is build in forest so many times signal issue we can face. But wifi facility is provided all over the campus.
Admission
Yes. Written exam I had given during the month of May. Exam was easy to qualify if of course student study. There is another quota for local Pondicherry student that may affect in some other way to the students from outside Pondicherry.
