Remarks

Not so good board exams had ensured me I am not going to get 'THE' North campus but today I am not sad about it. I got a total of ninety percentage in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry which luckily was good enough for a general candidate to have a seat in B.Sc Physical Science in ARSD, MNC, PGDAV, Sri Venkatesh Coll. , ANDC etc. The reason why I preferred ANDC over all others was mainly its science faculty (especially chemistry ?? ). At the time of counselling days, a few seniors of DU had suggested me the same. I believed in them and three years later I too will suggest the same. The dedication of teachers, labs with punctual staff, easy access to the variety of books from the library makes it very different from other colleges. Other than that, its theatre society (Dhwani is very famous in DU ), the Debate society, the music society etc makes it very very special. However the absence of hostels, the small ground can be a cause of concern if you are interested in some sports.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Term exams and assignments were held very timely. Not so tough but at the same time, it was not easy as well. One has to go through the complete syllabus to have decent marks. If you are lazy it's ok. Don't be too lazy!

Internships Opportunities

2.5

Once you have gone through all the skill enhancement courses you can have offers from companies for sure. As for me, it was doubtnut which was giving the offer of 10k per month on the basis of having skill enhancement course It skills for chemists and analysing my interview!

Placement Experience

4.5

One can get a lot more opportunities for internships in the college. Other than that one will go through a skill enhancement course every semester which will definitely improve your knowledge (like for me IPRights and IT skill courses add a very positive effect in my confidence of 'knowing something additional' Although in a course like Physical Sciences I have not so much to say about the package yes once you add a degree of masters a specific subject in it (which I am going to pursue) then definitely you will have a package of 6 lac p.a.

Fees and Financial Aid

In the first year, I paid 8k for the year and in the second year it was 7k + examination fee (which gave the total less than 8k ) and in the third year, I gave 7.5k which again I must say less than so many colleges that provides the same level of service.

Campus Life

4

Social life in ANDC is something where my experience is not so positive. There is no DUSO in the college which can give you the illusion that there is not so much politics in the college but it is not the case. You have to be aware and in the duration of the election must keep your eyes open. Although the extra curricular activities in the college can really upgrade you to a level that you have never thought of! One get so much to explore in societies like Dhwani, Tark, Dhun that they can genuinely discover a new self. Web centre, study room of andc was also a completely new experience ' when you don't 'wish to attend some particular class and obviously in your free time too. Annual sports day is also a fascinating day other than THE ANNUAL FEST.

I will rate the course curriculum 8/10. I like the labs specially they are modern with well equiped systems. According to me I suggest to improve the course structure to include more practical based learning instead of theory. Overall course is good.

Placement Experience:

Students of 6th sem are eligible for the campus selection process. Our course also have placement programs. Some companies that visit here are TCS, Wipro and few more the no of offers made depend upon the performance of student in the placement cell. The highest package as per my knowledge is 13 lakhs and the average here is 6 lakhs. Sorry for the inconvenience but I don't have any knowledge regarding the job profile given. The placement percentage changes every year depending upon the respective batch. My planning after the course is either placement otherwise my prime goal CSE.
