Remarks

I applied for BITS as well and was getting B.pharma so did not chose that option. 60% mandatory for PCM was the only criteria. We were called for the counseling process and were charged 10000 for that, it was rankwise and seats were alloted after getting the preference from individual students rankwise.

Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

I wanted to take forward my career in the path of computer science that's why, there were 60 students for 1 faculty, faculty, and quality of teaching is below par, don't expect much from faculties. Exams were timely with once each month and one night before the exam was enough to pass with good grades.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Internship opportunities aren't much, generally in 7th semester when placement season starts, companies come for Internships with a chance to convert To FTE, and average stipend would be 18k I guess, projects can't be mentioned.

Placement Experience

4

Companies generally visit during 7th semester, there were around 200 companies which visited the campus to name a few, Amazon, PAYPAL, OPTUM, CERNER, NAVIS, DELOITTE, NIELSEN, Amadeus Labs, Standard Chartered, Publicis Sapient, TCS, INFOSYS, CTS, WIPRO, CAPGEMINI. Highest CTC was 36 lacs offered by Work India. And Average Ctc Would be 4.5 lacs. Everyone enrolled for placement got placed. My plan is to continue the job.

Fees and Financial Aid

No fees hikes were there and did not get any financial assistance either. I got 2 offers from campus I interned at Cerner and Joined UHG as FTE. The overall placement scenario was great. My striped at Cerner was 22k.

Campus Life

4

There are 2 annual fests, one is AARUSH, the tech fest in odd sem in August or September and the other is MILAN the cultural fest in March. The library is vast and you expect the availability of almost everything there. For the department of CSE there was no Air Conditioner. There are a variety of Sports from Cricket to Badminton. Drama and Dance are also there. You can check for AARUSH website.

Hostel Facilities

4

There was a fan and a wardrobe and a table and a chair nothing apart from that and a bed as well, Meal was at par, breakfast was excellent and you should not miss any if given any chance, the hostel should place a bit on an expensive side. I took up a hostel

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

Chennai Institute of Technology is an instituition that truly prioritizes student career growth . The placement cell is exceptionallu well-organized ,consistently connecting students with reputed companies across various industries. What makes CIT stood out is the quality of its training staff. They focus heavily on communication , technical knowledge and competitive preparation ,align students with what top companies expect ,and contiuosly push us to improve and meet industry standards. Their structured training helped me to clearly identify my strengths and work on my weak areas, which made a huge difference during interviews and boosted my overall confidence. The department faculty are equally commnedable ,knowledgable ,approachable and genuinely invested in student career. Overall CIT is an excellent choice for anyone focused on building a strong and sucessful career
