Remarks

BITSAT is an entrance exam. Eligibility was 70% or higher marks in 12th class and a valid BITSAT score. Application form, fees and dates are available on BITS website. No reservation benefits in BITS. Admission process was manual at that time but now it is online based.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum was very well organized. The college has national-level best faculty. Faculty: student ratio is about 1:40. I had an interest in electronics and computers. Hence, I chose electronics as my major Qualification of faculty was mostly Ph.D. or Masters. Exams were placed twice a semester along with weekly/bi-weekly/surprises quizzes during the class. The difficulty level was usually medium-high.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

There were two rounds of internships during the 4-year course. The first intership program was of 2 months right after completing the 2nd year. The second intership program was for 6 months in the final year of a student. There were about ~250 companies offering intership opprtunities.

Placement Experience

4.5

In semester 7/8 students become eligible for placements. The college boasts about 100% on-campus placements along with practice schools. Average packages were around ~15 lacs per annum and the highest package received during my time was about 1.5 cr per annum

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee hikes were about 10% as I recall. The cost to study was reasonable as compared to any other private engineering college. There were two scholarships: Merit (top 10 students) and Merit-cum-need (~100 students)

Campus Life

4.5

Annual Fest: Waves. Quark, Spree. There were three large college fests. Waves were in November, Quark in Feb, and Spree in March. The library had an exhaustive collection of books, journals, even outside the course curriculum. The campus has a huge sports center for both indoor and outdoor games. For each fest, there are different societies and there were clubs of hobbies/interests

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel rooms were single occupancy, with a bed/study table/cupboard. Meal quality and menu were good at the mess (common mess for multiple hostels) Hostel registeration was along with the admission as hostel occupancy was mandatory. Affordable spaces.

Placement Experience:

I have no clue but the highest placements are in Computer and IT branches. Civil has probably the least placement. The quality is good thanks to IIT and NIT being in the same campus thus the big companies that come to those colleges also come to our colleges but they prefer those students more because NIT and IIT are more prestigious colleges.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is okay okay but not that great . Mech and civil don't have that much package avg of around 6 lakh and i guess only 10-11 got placed .. and 16-17 was eligibile for it. For eligible to placement you don't have any backlog in any subject and some minimum cgpa required too
