Remarks
BHU is among the most reputed institute in northern India. It is an honor to study at the footsteps of Mahamana. I gave the CAT exam and secured 91 percentile so I opted for BHU. Its management course is ranked 36 by NIRF in 2020. After giving my CAT exam I filled the application form online with 500 rupees.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course of MBA is very well organized. You can opt for specialization between Marketing, HRM and Finance. There are a variety of subjects which we study during the two years which includes economics, accounting, and others. There are regular industry visits, live discussions, case studies and so on. The professors are very experienced and they would help you in your path. We have four semesters in our course with multiple weekly tests.
Internships Opportunities
The summer internship program is the most important part of the MBA course and we get good internship opportunities. Companies such as TATA, Amazon, HDFC Bank and others come for internships. I got an internship with TCS where I gained a lot of corporate experience with a stipend of 15000 rupees for my service of 8 weeks.
Placement Experience
The BHU placement cell looks after all our placements. There are generally 100% placements for MBA students which is a good thing. A diverse kind of companies come for placements like Wipro, Deloitte, Axis Bank, ICICI bank, IBM, Flipkart, Airtel, Berger, Godrej and others. The highest salary of our batch was 21 LPA while the average salary was around 11 LPA. Students get mostly placed in the marketing domain followed by finance and IT.
Fees and Financial Aid
As BHU comes under the central government the fees are quite less compared to other B – schools. The annual fees are 50000 rupees for MBA thus a total of 1 Lakh rupees is to be paid for the two years. There are plenty of scholarship options available which are generally merit and financial background based. You can avail the scholarship options as per your eligibility.
Campus Life
You would see a clear difference between Varanasi and BHU. The campus is lush green and every facility is provided within the campus. The central library at BHU is the biggest in Asia. You would find every book in the library as per requirement. Sports facilities and medical facilities are at their finest. Various events are organized around the year as per faculties. We have our own annual event where students from all the faculties participate. The campus is a home away from home.
Hostel Facilities
Every student is given the hostel facility in our course. The hostels are huge with a Wi-Fi facility, common room, playground, and mess facility. There are twin bedrooms and the staff maintains proper hygiene. I have thousands of memories at the hostels. The mess facility is private and two times meals are served by paying 50 rupees for each meal.
Interview Experience
The admission is done based on your CAT score followed by GD and PI round score. The GD is of 10 students and a topic is chosen according to recent trends. The PI is taken to check the cognitive ideas, past academic performance, work experience of the students. The whole process is very smooth and you would be notified about everything through mail and message.
