Remarks

SRM conducts an entrance exam called SRMJEE. All the details can be found on the official website www.srmuniv.ac.in. According to your eligibility (10th/12th marks and SRMJEE rank), counselling is held and admission is carried out.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I always had an interest in Computer Science so choose a degree in same. About the faculty, they are well qualified and are quite helpful with their lectures and notes etc. About the exams, we had sessionals called cycle test 3 times a semester, model and university practicals and one end semester examination. If a student attends the classes regularly and is thorough with the notes, getting good marks is not that difficult.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Very few companies visit campus to offer internship in 3rd year such as Barclays, High Radius, Dell etc. In the 4th year, some companies offer internship leads to placement offers and some offer full time roles. Most offers are linked with stipend.

Placement Experience

4.5

The students become eligible for placements in fourth year i.e. sevent semester. Many companies visit campus starting from mass recruiters like TCS, Cognizant, Wipro etc, dream companies like Amdocs, Bank of America, Sabre and super dream companies like Barclays, ZS, tekion etc, marquee companies like Wells Fargo etc. The highest package recorded this year is 25 lpa and lowest is 3.5 lpa and the average package is about 5lpa. The profiles offered are majorly technical with some non technical ones. 85% of the students have been placed in 7th semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course fees is like any other private college in India which costs about 2 lakhs a year. About the scholarships, only the semester topper of every department get it. There are some scholarships for backward classes whose details can be found on the website. About the placement wrt fees, it's totally on your preparation. The college provides ample opportunities ranging from mass recruiters, dreams and super dream companies and the students grab it on the basis of their preparation. The package varies from 4lpa to 20 lpa. And average is about 5 lakh for the CSE department.

Campus Life

There are many fests conducted in the college ranging from cultural, sports to technical fests. Some of them are Aarush, Khel, Innovate etc. The classrooms are quite spacious equipped with fans and AC. The library is quite with wide range of books both academic and non academic. There are many social groups and clubs for sports, cultural activities and technical activites example coding club, CSI etc

Overall Good Experience at EEC

Likes

good infrastructure, clean campus and well equipped classrooms and labs.
Faculty members are supportive and explain concepts clearly with practical examples.
Good placement opportunities, career guidance and opportunities to participate in activities.

Dislikes

The workload can be huge sometimes, especially during examinations and project submissions.
some subjects could include more practical and industry-oriented learning
More campus activities and student interactions opportunities would improve campus life.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

This is the best college overall

Likes

The curriculum provided is really nice and understandable.
It is relevant and is effective as well.
The boy girl ratio is on the other hand a little less as in 45:15.

Dislikes

The way some facilities behave with students is really bad especially in our branch.
Some facilities are too rude and they often don’t want to listen to students point of view

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Training and Career development at CIT

Likes

In my college , I experienced diversed equality and gained more knowledge by training staffs and assessments

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation
