Remarks

In my college selection was based on marks obtained in 12th class. You don't have to give any entrance test for BA programme and for other course also. And the admission process was very easy. if your percentage is equivalent or more than cut off percentage then you will have to go to college with all your documents. Like 10th 12th marksheet, Aadhar Card, TC ,caste certificate ( for reservation only) etc. Seniors is also very helpful .if you don't no how to fill form or facing any other problem. then don't worry seniors will definitely help you.

I am student of BA Programme I am a good in Arts and main reason is I want to Tu sarkari jobs.so,Delhi University is best of this course Shaheed Bhagat Singh College teachers was very helpful University and cooperative with students. They teach us in very effective and easy way and they guide us for future also. so, i not join any coaching institute because facility is enough for me and you also, if you join this college . they provide notes to us which is easily

Internships Opportunities

After completing 1st year you will come eligible for internships. Many companies provide internship opportunities like praxis Global alliance, Geetanjali home state Pvt Ltd. Infihire And the stipend is also good normally it goes up to 15000 per month.

Placement Experience

if your scored average marks 60% then you will become for many placement interview. And placement companies are Zomato, America Express, phone pe , swiggy and some small companies also.

Fees and Financial Aid

Basically, fees for BA program 7010 rupee per year at that time. So, total course is amount is 18030. But currently monthly fees is goes up to 18030 per year by the way this college provide many scholarship opportunities which you can do after complete 1st year.

Campus Life

Campus life was decent college. every year fest and fresher party will happened in which you do a lot of fun like dancing, participate in this college societies and you feel a great experience of happiness mostly fest will happen in October November month and after that paper will come in December.

Likes

Personally I like my college's environment. It's so friendly and cooperative.
It's an all girls college so it's so comfortable as it is away from male gaze.
I highly do recommend this college for study and personal growth.

Dislikes

I somewhat dislike it's canteen. The food is not as good as our expectations.
The prices in canteen is very high with low quality food.
I dislike the thing that a few professors favour some fix students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Yeah the curriculum here is so strong, it's student friendly and ability enhancement. The courses offer here are relevant and can be applicable in our day to day lives. It gives us insight into ourselves.

My college was a girl's college. There are maximum 60students in a class. Prints were quite cheap in the college cafe.
There were many fest functions in my college. I also participated in the dance fest in my first year. We also used to go on picnics from college.
India's chief guest at the annual function was M Venkaiah Naidu.

Dislikes

College fees were very high for general category people.
The behavior of many teachers was quite rude and arrogant as if they were teaching us for free.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to do PhD in Political Science but due to percentage I took up BA program. Teachers used to provide notes but mostly I used to be off. There was nothing wrong with the college. Exam timings were good.

Infrastructure of the college is very up-to-date.
College crowd is very active and diverse, giving opportunity to learn and explore.
Teachers are very well educated and friendly towards the students.

Dislikes

Sports facilities at the college need to be improved.
Few teachers methods of teaching are traditional and outdated.
There is strict criteria for attendance, to maintain 66.7 percent

Placement Experience:

Final your students are eligible for the campus placement. Companies visited are HDFC Bank, Zomato, Swiggy, mahindra,EY, Deloitte and others. Highest package was around 30 lacs per annum and the average package is around 4 lakhs. Job profiles were mostly business analyst, research and development, PR and others. I will prepare for civil services examinations after clearing my graduation.

Likes

Our placement services is efficient and effective which always comes up with quality companies in terms of employment and package.
We have solid infrastructure which includes medical rooms, basketball ground, main ground, fest ground etc.
Our faculties expert in their teaching of respective subject where the teaching method is technology based and mentorship quality is demand based

Dislikes

Our course curriculum is relevant but sometimes it lacks little practical learning.

Placement Experience:

Student set in the placement from 5th semester where where is companies visited college for the campus placement such as KPMG, Zomato Deloitte, etc and number of offers made were not explicitly disclosed by the college and highest package was 25 lakhs and average package was 4 lakhs and profile offered were finance, marketing, etc around 70% students placed from my college and my plans after the graduation is to pursue PHD.

Moments of happiness

Likes

I liked the ration of girls and boys it's almost same .
The teaching method of teachers and the library.
College infrastructure and various opportunities and sports ground .

Dislikes

Events in college are usually too short like till 5 pm only .
Classes starts at 8:40 in winters atleast it should start by 10 .

Placement Experience:

English hons is not a course in which placement is that widespread as far as I'm aware . But our college provides placements for other courses like b.com etc and we have placement cell which keeps updating us on internship or placement opportunities and overall package is quite good .

Course Curriculum Overview:

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

Likes

College provides a free environment for sports.
It is ragging free college and many anti ragging laws are here
One of the best features of our college is it in origanising seminar time to time.

Dislikes

There is a issue in time table uncertain classes are a problem for us
So high attendance criteria makes us in trouble.
There are not hostal facility which make a critical situation.

I chose the course because I want to become ias.approximately 100students in class . . Many proofesser are highly educated like PhD ma etc our faculty offers many opportunities.There are 6 semester in 3 years and 2 in each year .it is normal to crack the exam but hard to get High marks

Ramjas the heaven on earth

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.

SBSC - Insights and thoughtful

I applied for other colleges such as Banaras Hindu University and Jamia Millia Islamia but and got confirm the admission there but I choose this college over others because of course. No I didn't get rejection from any other college. The admission process is through commerce allocation system and eligibility is 12th Plus and exam expected are common University entrance test which is most favoured and given by the students and cut off for this course is around 730 out of 800 and my admission experience is fantastic where I am able to exploi different things in the college in terms of society and other activities too....Read More

My experience at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College so far !!

To get admission into any college of University of Delhi you need to appear in CUET ( Common University Entrance Exam ). Cutoffs vary from college to college depending on how many students apply for that college. I simply chose SBSC over other colleges i was eligible for because it was the best option i had and since i didn't want to go to a girls college so preferred SBSC over DRC and IP and also over ARSD, SGGSCC and all other colleges at this level. I also got admitted in christ Bangalore ( Central Campus ) and Narsee Monjee ( Mumbai Campus ). But these institutions didn't seem worth it and Delhi University in general has a better reputation....Read More
