My Honest Review of APC college

The course eligibility is based on the marks of class 12 final exam. You should have a science stream with Mathematics subject in Higher Secondary School. The admission process is completely online & it is merit-based. So you need to have very good marks in the subject you are applying for honours. In my case I got a 92 in Mathematics in class 12 So I apply for Mathematics honours here. The merit list is calculated based on the best of four subjects' marks. If you get above 70% marks you can get a chance. However, as the competition is very high above 80% marks will be very good for getting admission here. The admission fee was around Rs 5500. You can find the application form is on the college website and usually, the admission process starts after the result published of class 12

I love doing Maths & I have a deep interest in this subject and APC college is one of the best colleges in West Bengal so I have chosen Mathematics honours there. We have 5 professors and around 50 students in our department. So the student-faculty ratio is 10 students per 1 professor. Most of our faculties have done PhD. So they are very experienced in this field. Their teaching method is very interactive. We had one main exam every year. So total 3 exams to pass. Our professor did take some mock tests all around the year. Exams were quite difficult to pass.

The college fee is reasonable. It's slightly higher than government college but this college A graded college by NAAC. The admission fee was around Rs 5500. Then every year fee is around 3000-4000. The total cost of the study is here under Rs 14000. A fee may increase over the years. But the fee hike is very low. College provides some fee waive for the needy students. Many scholarships are available for all the good students. If you got 60% you get SVMCM scholarships which are Rs 18000 per year. If a girl gets 45% marks she gets Kanyashree Scholarships. Many private scholarships were available also. No campusing is offered from college.

Our college campus was very good. Our college hosts many cultural programs and extracurricular activities all over the year. Most of our college campus is greenery. It is a very peaceful environment and we have a beautiful garden in our college. When it comes to the library it's the most peaceful & beautiful place in the college. Our library consists of an immense amount of books. Our library room has different sections and a study room. Our classrooms are medium in size. Our classroom has enough space and airy because of big windows and doors. We have an air-conditioned hall room. we have many sports activities held every year
