Entrance Preview

VIT conducts its own entrance exam which is VITEEE, once you get a good rank, you can participate in counselling and apply for your desired branches, I scored 1530 rank and had got computer science and engg branch.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is well planned and structured, the courses are structured by semesters. First 2 semesters are on basic engineering which includes, engineering mathematics, basic English, Basic History of Vellore, Environment science, basic mechanical engineering etc.

Internships Opportunities

They generally don't give stipends to B.tech courses, however they give decent stipends to masters courses, I am not aware of the exact amount.

Placement Experience

VIT is very well known for its placement records. They have categorized the companies in 3 sections. General placement companies, which includes most of the service based companies including TCS, CTS, Infy etc. Dream companies which includes either core company for non computer courses or paying between 4 Lacs to 7 lacs for computer courses.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loan is available for all leading banks based on fee estimate that can be taken from college registrar office.

Exam Structure

As VIT is deemed university so they conduct their exams on their own. As I have already given details on the subjects so they conduct 4 exams. 2 Inter tests, 10 Marks are taken from each for final sheet.

Faculty

Most of the faculty members are well educated and highly experienced from very well known govt colleges like IITs or Anna University or NITs. The faculty members are very friendly as well and they give good time for their students for theoretical subjects as well as practical projects.

The placements are very decent and they provide internships as early career opportunities as well in 3rd year of studies and the college possess high conversion rates through these internships which support the resume with actual corporate exposure

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.

It's like Schools .There will be special class if you didn't get much marks like schools .

Placement Experience:

From 5 th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. Lots of companies. The highest package is 26 lakhs and the average package is 1.5 lakhs. 98% of students get placed. Doing my best in a career as an entrepreneur.
