Manipal University- MBA

With my 55% scores in bachelor's degree, I applied to MAHE online and paid Rs.2000 as the application fee. The online form was submitted through the university's official website. I was given admission here on the basis of my CAT scores. Ever since I decided to pursue MBA, I dreamed of going to Manipal University. Also, the university has ranked within the top 35 universities in India for the past five years. MAHE has steadily climbed the NIRF Ranking for the past few years and is now within the top 10 universities in the country according to the NIRF Ranking, which motivated me to get admission here.

The curriculum emphasizes the development of our skills and abilities to apply management theories and concepts to live problems of business and industry. We were taught through teaching methods like simulation exercises, case studies, seminars, assignments, live projects, group discussions, business games, outbound-based experiential learning activities, educational excursions, role plays, structured and unstructured group work and field visits. We were taught and trained by some of the most reputed and well-experienced faculty members from India and abroad. The faculty guided and supported us at all stages and encouraged us to pursue our passion. MAHE has a total of 15+ faculty members.

With top recruiters like IBM, Microsoft, Accenture, Amazon, KPMG, Delloite, Biju's, ITC limited, HDFC, Bank of Baroda, Cognizant and reliance JIO, my batch was able to secure an average placement package of 4-5 lakhs and some of the students also received packages of 35-37 lakhs. The final placement drive took place at the end of the 2nd year. Before the drive, the university gave us full assistance and provided us with interview training, resume building, etc.

Overall the program cost me about 7.9 lakhs, which I had to pay in 2 installments on yearly basis. The institute was also providing need-based financial help as well as on merit- basis.

There were a lot of facilities to supplement the classroom teaching these facilities encouraged and aided us in innovative thinking and pursuing careers of our choice. My University's Sports Council organized inter-college sports events and made selections for our university team for various inter-university tournaments. The council also organised staff sports events annually. There were several clubs that we could be a member of, take membership of in order to be part of the cultural landscape of the uUniversity. As far as I remember, the most popular once were Mafia Music and Fine Arts Club, Aanina Club, Astronomy Club, Rotaract Club, Leo Club, etc.
