Remarks

Eligibility - 12th pass out from any recognized board. The application form is available at the official website of the University of Delhi. Reservation in sports, NCC, ews, PWD categories. The admission process is quite good even if you don't get admission in cut-offs you get a chance in an additional cut-off.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course as it gives you a chance to develop professionally and have various skills developed required to be a social worker. Also, it has fieldwork that helps you to use the classroom knowledge in the practical world and connects you to various organizations and individuals professionally. The faculty-student ratio is also good there are 2 teachers per 10 students. Most of the teachers have a doctorate in social work or their own subject. Term exams were conducted timely and it was not that hard to pass.

Internships Opportunities

5

As per my course, there are unpaid internships with some recognized NGOs and other organizations. We are placed there for a whole year under the agency supervisor, who assigns us various tasks to complete and guides us on how to do the fieldwork in the communities with various groups. The outcome of the internship is that we get to learn the various aspects of working with the communities in the field.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is also affordable. The college charges around 13700 yearly as the course fee and 1400 exam fee per semester. So you get a social worker degree under 50k and that's fair according to me. I'm not aware of the scholarships the college provides.

Campus Life

4

Freshers and farewell party is organized in the month of January. Orientation programmes are also conducted at the start of each year. The library is also available. Various sports are available and a large ground too. There are various societies present like Red Ribbon Club, Rage, Spice macoy, etc. Ncc and Nss are also available.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BA English Honours curriculum at DU SOL is relevant and provides a strong foundation in literature and language. The course covers diverse topics that support academic learning and critical thinking. The flexible structure is suitable for distance-learning students. Adding more practical activities, updated study materials, and interactive learning opportunities could further improve the overall course experience.

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
