Remarks

I got admission through the WBJEE entrance For the Electronics and Telecommunications engineering course the cut-off- Opening Rank-150 Closing Rank- 250 Though I availed the facility of ST reservation and my rank was 73. The admission process was happening through an online counseling process.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course provides a very wide range of knowledge and bit hard to pass. But the experienced professors made them easy by their excellent teaching skills and the tree of knowledge. And everything was very much punctual. We had given 18 exams and 4 lab viva per semester and the course has 8 semesters.

A lot of giant companies come to provide internships for both software and hardware job role. From the companies the most popular - Amazon, Wells Fargo, Texas Instruments, DRDO, Airbus, Deshaw, Samsung, etc

Placement Experience

For the course Bachelor of Electronics and Telecommunications engineering. Companies visited- 30+ Most popular among them Software- Amazon, Wells Fargo, Goldman Sachs, Google, Texas Instruments, TCS, Tata digital, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, etc Hardware- Texas Instruments, Samsung, Synopsis, etc. About 10% of students go for higher studies abroad and 90% of students got placed with multiple offers.

Kolkata has a heart full of culture and of course, Jadavpur University colors the most of it through its culture and social activities. There are a lot of clubs and groups like Coding club, science club, photography club, sports club, debate club, painting club, chess club, Acting club, and many more and the most popular thing is that all these clubs and groups are run by the students themselves. They have their own websites to manage the clubs. And the official website of Jadavpur University is excellent.

Good Internship Opportunities

Placement Experience:

The placement cell provides us with training programs and internships and also if the students are careful and disciplined in the classroms they can crack through job interviews. There is mock viva at the end semester and also some on campus hiring companies came in our college.

The college average placement are 6 lakh per annum and in my branch out of 64 student only 30 God placement but the mistake is of the students because many companies are visiting our colleges but they couldn't find the talent required for the skilled person they required

Placement Experience:

Studentsbecome eligible for placements from 7th semester. Various companies such as TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, etc. come for placements. Earlier many offers used to come however in the recent years the number of offers made have reduced significantly. highest package comes around 10 to 11 lakhs per annum with average being 4-5 lakhs per annum. I have kept my options open after completion of degree in doing further studies that is Mtech or getting into a job whichever seems appropriate at the situation.

The average package is 450000 and highest package every year goes upto 9-12 lakhs per annum. GOOD College at low fees.

Placement Experience:

Placement of my college are quite good with a avg package of 6 to 7 lpa and higest package of 45 lpa and this year the higest package is 75 lpa. The companies visited in my college are infosys, Capgemini,tcs,wipro, Mindtree,IBM, sometimes amazon also.The placement rate of the college is 85 to 95%.

Fair college according to me

Placement Experience:

Our college provide really good placements if the student is really eligible for employment. There are adequate no. Of companies visiting the campus. Some big companies are - MICROSOFT, LAB VANTAGE, DELTAX, RTCAMP, DELOITTE, ACCENTURE, PERSISTENT SYSTEMS, IBM, MUSIGMA, TIGER ANALYTICS, KEY SIGHT TECHNOLOGIES, KEYENCE, MANIKARAN POWER, TCS, E&Y etc. The highest package is around 20 lpa and the avarage is around 5 - 6 lpa. Placements are better for cse, it and ece. The core branches have mediocre placements.

The college is good for academics but there is no campus life.

Placement Experience:

The placements are average in the college. From 7th semester the students are eligible for placements. About 60% students get placed in the college. The average package of our college is 3-4 lakhs per annum and the highest package last year was around 13 lakhs per annum. I will choose to do M.tech after passing out of the college.

The Pros and Cons of Joining Jadavpur University Masters of Arts in Economics

1) I applied for Delhi School of Economics, however couldn't manage an admission due to the extreme cutoff on CUET exam for the same. I had confirmed admission from North Bengal University, however it was not feasible since I had a choice in Jadavpur University. Jadavpur University has the best rank among all other colleges I had a confirmed admission to, so I chose this University. 2) I wanted to study in Delhi School of Economics, but couldn't make it there due to the extensive cutoff in CUET which I unfortunately couldn't clear. 3) Jadavpur University conducts its own internal exam for admission into its esteemed Masters of Arts [M.A.] programme. However one can get through by CUET exams as well, however that needs a decent score.
