Remarks

We took the MET exam the Manipal entrance exam. I got a rank of 2500 and got cse branch in the Jaipur campus. There were also direct admissions that took admission directly without giving the test. The form was available online. Everything was done online from registeration to fee payment.

Course Curriculum Overview

It's really nice the overall curriculum. The first year teachers are a bit boring and text book oriented. But higher semester teachers are really nice. Exams are semester wise and assignment and quizzes are taken weekly. If studied from textbooks, marks can be scored easily.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 2500000 per year

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Internships can usually be taken off-campus from sites like fiver , geek codes etc. Some of them are paying and some offer certificate. Projects are must for our portfolio . These internships provide us with experience and money

Placement Experience

3.5

From 3rd year onwards we start getting internships. We can also start early by opting for off-campus internships based on our skills. On final year many companies visit our college. Avg package varies from 2 to 4 lacs and the highest goes till 30.

Fees and Financial Aid

For my first year, the total academic fee is 320000 plus the hostel fee which for me was around 2.5 L. There are also merit-based scholarships available. There are no on-campus jobs available while we are still studying. Internships are available in the 4th year.

Campus Life

The campus life of this college is one of the best. There are a lot of clubs available. The is no time restriction on the gate for both boys and girls. Groups like ACM and IEEE are available here. Classes are well equipped with modern techs and we'll ventilated.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rooms are comfortable and nice. The food served is above average. Every service is available through the app. Cleaning carpenter plumber every facility is available. Hostels can be booked easily by online method. If hostels seem a bit expensive. Pgs are located nearby only.

Hostel Fee: INR 250000 per year

And also the campus provide all facilities and make helps to sports and ration is almost equal of boys and girls

Yes some things are there which I disliked first is the campus is very strict and no function are organised yearly ones or twice is very sad thing as compared to other campus
Second thing is food students facing some problem with the food which hear prepared so outsiders facing lot of problems
Third is about hostel facility is good but very strict only once a week the students should go out side and write leave letter to go there native places.

Placement Experience:

Insights of the Gopalan college of engineering and Management by a First Year Student

Likes

Canteen is fine has nice and tasty food and quite a lot of options
Library is also good has every book related to my course and few others as well
Lab facilities are also very nice and the college has a nice crowd

Dislikes

It's nothing like I expected, they don't let students use the ground or turfs. Facilities are pretty bad.
They charge money for everything and has zero facilities for college students. Everything is for there school students.
College is very small and the faculties are rude to students. (Mostly the case)

Placement Experience:

Student are eligible for placements from there 7th semester but I wouldn't recommend relying on college for placements. Not many companies come to this college so placements are really bad. If u have skills it would be better to apply to companies on your own. I don't have details on how many students gets placed but as much as I know it's about 30-50 % And average package is also very low. I plan of gaining skills and certification on my own and job hunting myself in 4th year through my connections and internships. Or maybe go abroad for masters As I'm a first year student I don't know much about which companies come and how much they offer.

An honest review

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.

MIT Manipal owns engineering!

Admission here are very consistent and just two methods. No other method works here as MIT Manipal has very clear plans. Either you can qualify through Manipal Entrance Test or JEE scores but 90 percentile is required. So it is tough as engineering seats in MIT Manipal maybe high but competition to be in top 1000-1200 means competing with nearly 100k students....Read More

I chose this college because this was the best option I had among others that I got accepted into. Comparing to others, MIT has much lesser intake and a much better campus life. I made it into all the private colleges that I applied to, but not colleges like NIT and IIT Other colleges I got accepeted into are BITS, VIT, CET, LPU, Thapar. I didnt choose BITS because of the higher fees. Eligibility criteria of MIT is 60 percentage in boards and students have to write MET, our entrance test, there is 50 percentage weightage for boards as well....Read More
