Remarks

Every student is eligible to take admission in B.A. Program. But there is some deduction of marks if you didn't have a subject in 12th in which you are taking admission. The application form can be filled out through the official portal of Delhi University. On the Portal you can make your profile then you can follow the instructions provided on the portal itself to take admission in your preferred course and college. There is a 50% reservation for Sikh students in Sri guru Nanak dev Khalsa college. There is also a sports and eca quota available. If the admission process is more transparent and fast it would be appreciated otherwise it is also fine right now.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose this course because I have a keen interest in economics. And also my 12th percentage is matching with the cut-off of this course. The faculty ratio is also too good it is like 1:15/16 which is nice according to me. Teachers are well qualified and they solve our doubts. As of now due to covid online classes is going on so there is no physical contact between students and teachers still we didn't feel anything wrong as the teaching methods of teachers are good and they put too much effort into solving our doubts. There is a semester system so every 6 months there are semester exams. They are of moderate difficulty but if you fail in any subject then you have to reappear in that subject during the next semester. Total 6 semesters are there in my course and the course duration is of 3 years.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Education is an early-stage ed-tech platform aiming to impart essential skills to young adults who came to our college to hire students for internships. Profiles Offered by them are:- Human Resource Intern, Campus Ambassador Intern, Business Development (Sales) Intern, Marketing and Sales Intern, Social Media Marketing Intern and Stipend provided is INR 3000 per month This is just 1 example there are many more opportunities for internships in the college.

Placement Experience

2.5

Even 1st-semester students can apply for internships. Companies like e&y, l&t, etc have visited the campus and made around 50-60 offers till now. Around 20-30% of students get placement from the college. I will prepare for the entrance exam of higher studies after getting my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of the course are very affordable as compared to other colleges in Delhi University or outside Delhi University. There is not much fees hike. College also provides scholarships to some students. Students from 'economically weaker classes' can get financial assistance by providing appropriate documents. And there is no job to do on campus with a stipend.

Campus Life

4

Every year college organizes an annual fest which is pretty awesome to experience. Many different activities are there to do infests and also students can volunteer. Many superstars also come to perform. It is organized in February and marches every year. The library is very huge and well maintained in our college. There is a lot of books to read from in the college Library. Seating capacity is also good in the library. There are smart classes present in most of the classrooms. There is no playground but the college arranges a ground outside the college for sports activities. There is a lot of societies in the college like placement cell, desi club, NSS, etc.

Other Applied Colleges

Sri guru tegh bahadur khalsa college | BMS

I didn't opted for this college because BMS was not there in this college.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
