Remarks

During the 1st wave of covid, there was no VITEEE conducted. We were given admission based on 12th marks + JEE/SAT marks. For students like me who prepared for SAT to get into foreign universities, this was a great opportunity. Due to covid, my parents were not comfortable in sending me to foreign universities, and to get into a good Indian university I needed to prepare for JEE or other Indian exams which I wasn't used to. My SAT scores, which I worked hard to get, were about to go waste. But due to VIT, I was able to use those SAT scores and get into a good university like VIT.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum Is really good and upto date. The core subjects were started in the 2nd sem itself. The faculty are based on our luck in ffcs, where we have to choose our slot and faculty. But most of the faculty are qualified, and when u ask doubts they'll clear them.

Internships Opportunities

Many opportunities are provided in VIT. We keep getting E-mails about internships and hackathons. VIT has an incubator, so many companies of VIT students also offer a lot of internships. I did not yet do an internship and I just completed my 3rd sem but participated in 3-4 hackathons.

Placement Experience

I heard that placements are pretty in VIT. Being a CSE student, I can be sure of getting a placement. I'm not sure about the plans after college. I'm thinking, if I get a good offer, I'd work for a few years and go for Ms, else directly apply for Ms.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is fine for 1st few categories. But as the category goes up the fees increase a lot. The opportunities given in college are plenty, such as internships, seminars, hackathons, etc. Coming to campus life, as everything was online till now, we have no idea. We are called to campus from 7th March, hoping for the best.

Campus Life

Campus life, infrastructure, libraries, classrooms, sports, and all are unknown to us yet. Hoping for the best. But I read in some forms that campus life is good, but the management is pretty strict. Coming to clubs they are awesome. A lot of productivity and fun.

Hostel Facilities

Again hostel is unknown. I read that it again depends on the block and type of bed share. The same goes with the mess too. The fees seemed a little high. Renting a local pg is not allowed in VIT unless parents stay with us.

The placements are very decent and they provide internships as early career opportunities as well in 3rd year of studies and the college possess high conversion rates through these internships which support the resume with actual corporate exposure

Likes

The college provides a friendly and supportive learning environment.
Most faculty members are approachable and helpful, especially when students need academic guidance

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.

Placement Experience:

From 5 th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. Lots of companies. The highest package is 26 lakhs and the average package is 1.5 lakhs. 98% of students get placed. Doing my best in a career as an entrepreneur.
