Remarks

There is no cut off as such because you can take admission in LPU even without applying the LPUNest exam but if you score a good percentage in LPUNest exam you get a good amount of scholarship, plus there a benefit if you score good marks in english i.e. you get to give an AMCAT test and if you get marks in that as well you will get to learn any one foreign languge.

Course Curriculum Overview

They course is ofcourse great plus the faculty members are plus point because most of them are IITians. Plus you get to participate in various kinds of clubs related to your field of interest. You get explore a lot in LPU.

Internships Opportunities

Intership oppurtunity are great as well with time to time remainders also there are certain internships going on inside the campus only so you join on those interships as well and earn a handsome amount of money from it.

Placement Experience

Placements are really good with maximum package going up to 12LPA besides you also get trained on how to attend your placement interviews and crack the GD or GI rounds. Plus there are one to one mock interviews that are held by the faculty members to give students perfect learning as well as assistance.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course fee is kind of high for Aerospace Engineering but you can obviously get a scholarship based on the percentage you scored on your 12th but incase you haven't scored good no need to worry you can attempt the LPUNest exam and score well in that and the scholarship will be then based on your score in LPUNest exam. Plus if you have any financial unstability you have an oppurtunity to get more scholarship as well. Also there is an oppurtunity to work part in the library after the college hours inside the campus.

Campus Life

The campus life is just awesome if you can explore it well. There are a number of clubs be it cultural or academic in which you can participate. Plus there are a lot of fun competions taking place from time to time. Also you have an oppurtunity to work as a part-timer inside the campus. The only con is that the girls are not allowed to stay out of the hostel after 7P.M. and if they have to stay out of the campus after 7 they need to have a permission from the respective hostel warden.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facilities are pretty well with both rooms containing ACs as well as coolers which you can opt according to your need. There are seperate study rooms as well which students can avail anytime. Plus you get laundry services as well as eatery and daily utility stores inside the hostel itself.

supportive campus environment with the comfortable in the classess

A Vibrant Campus with good learning and great opportunities

class size can be large , it helps every child to interact
academic work is quite high , the schedule may feel hectic especially during examination

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
