NIT jalandhar a destination for the skilled

The admission process of NIT jalandhar is base on the jossa councelling that allows students to apply for multiple prestigious engineering institutions across the country based on their jee mains and jee advance scores . To be eligible to get the chemical engineering branch for pursuing b tech from NIT jalandhar a general candidate needs to possess atleast 89 percentile of score in jee mains . which is scheduled to be held 4 times each year. It tests aspirants across the domains of physics chemistry and mathematics with almost 70% weightage on corse taught in CBSE 11th and 12th standards . The application fees is as per jossa norms and was Rs35000 for the year 2021. The application dates are again based on jossa councelling dates. I believe the admission process is perfect as it is and doesn't require any changes

The course curriculum is upto the mark and the faculty is cooperative and techno friendly with a few exceptions at it. I chose chemical engineering since it was my passion . I could have opted for a higher branch with my jee score being 96 percentile however I wish to lead the world to a greener and healthier environment with my improvisation of chemical processes . Our batch had 8 teachers for the 1st semester and each teacher taught almost 3 such classes of 90 students approx . So the ratio would work out to be approximately 1 faculty member per 34 students irrespective of the subject. Each faculty member is a PHD degree holder with specifications in their subjects . There were continuous evaluation tests each week and finally the end semester examination with difficulty levels ranging from moderate to difficult

Multiple internship opportunities are available in the college starting from 2nd year . There are various famed companies like google , flipkart etc and other startups and smaller industries that provide internship offers in all tech and non tech based domains.

The institute provides almost 100% internship offers and a good number of in campus placements . The highest ctc offered was 44lpa for CSE while the average ctc was 7 lakhs approximately. Students are eligible for placement offers from 7th semester onwards and almost 70 % of students are placed every year. I plan to be placed in a good tech based company with a handsome salary package

The fees structure is divided into 3 categories for students with family income below 1 lakh , between 1 lakh and 5 lakh and above 5 lakhs. There is provision for the national scholarship policy nsp for almost all the students however the institution's lack of due attention towards the distribution of Bonafide certificate was a really big nuisance. Still the fees for an average general category student with family income between 1 to 5 lakhs would cost around 93 thousands which is much more affordable compared to the fees of private colleges . Not to mention the value of facilities provided exceed the fees paid

There are multiple interesting clubs in the institution . One such club is the literacy and debating club of Nit Jalandhar or the LADC club that strives to develop influencial communication and debating skills among its members and is famed regionally for hosting and participating in multiple inter college debating competitions
