All about VIT

The admission process is easy like not very tough paper. I got no reservation benefits as I am a general category. The application form can be found on the VITEEE site. Eligibility is to be an Indian passed in 12th and attained at least 65% marks in PCM for BTech courses

I choose this course because I have an interest in computers and coding and it will be good for my future for placements and all. Around each faculty gets around min of 60 students to 120 students each at max. Qualification and all is good as most of them hold PhDs but it all depends on students that he will be cope with what he is teaching or not. Difficulty in exams is not so tough if you study well and there is a gap of 5 weeks b/w each cat or fat i.e. exams.

After semester 5 onwards ig students become eligible for campus placements. Various top tier companies visit our colleges such as Microsoft, Wipro, Google, Facebook, mantra, ola, uber, Infosys and various others. More than 10k offers were made with 100 being super dream offers. Around 60% of students get placed but I am not too sure about it. My plans are not yet decided I will either go for placements or for the UPSC exam or for any other top government job or for a startup. Also, VIT has a very good environment for startups and they also support it too.

The cost of the study is very high at VIT as they have a 5 fee types according to the ranks we get in the VITEEE exam but they give scholarships very less and a student gets scholarships if he scores more than 98% in his batch which is very bad as there are thousands of students pursuing the same course

Vit has a great library having thousands of books comics journals and all the study material or fictional material you will ever need in the 4 years of life. It has great sports facilities having multiple stadiums and sports complexes. There are multiple tech feat and cultural fests organised at vit over the year and ig conducts one of Asia's largest cultural fests. There are a whole lot of clubs chapters and social groups at vit. They start second sem onwards but ig there are more than 100 options for students to select from their own interests and pursue.

There is no place for PG accommodation at VIT they do not allow pg stay but they allow students to stay within a range of 60 km around with their parents. Talking about a hostel in the first sem you get college by choosing your own wish but that too is very complicated as it is a first to come first take basis and there are around 10-12k students fighting for 2 -3 bedded ac which is only 2000 available so be careful for that. On second sem onwards you get your choice of hostel based on cgpa you scored. They have options for 1,2,3,4,6 bedded ac and non-ac options though 1 bedded are only available to seniors.
