An amazing college with nice placements

The counsellings are conducted by JOSAA for all the NITs and IITs including this NIT too. The seats are allotted through the rank list of JEE main and category. There is 10% reservation for females apart from the regular caste based reservation. For admission you need to have your 12th mark sheet , Migration , JEE main score card, Aadhar card and category certificate (if applicable ). After you're allotted the seat you've to pay 45000 as seat acceptance fee (fee differ for SC/STs).

All the teachers are well qualified and are knowledgeable but yet like every other government college the professors don't teach quite well except few good ones. The faculty: student ratio is nearly 1:19 as there are 208 teaching staffs for 4000 students. The course is relevant to the industry's demand. The course at ICE is updated timely and it make the students ready for industrial works. There's a criteria of minimum 75% attendance to appear for the End semester examination.The end semester examination are moderate in difficulty level if one studies just a bit he/she can get a descent GPA. Very few students get backlogs around 95% of the students who appear for the end semester examinations pass without any backlogs

The placement stats of ICE branch are quite impressive around 90% of the students got placed with an average package of 10.75 LPA. Students become eligible for sitting in placements from 7th semester . The Highest package was 44 LPA which was offered by Amazon India to 6 students of ICE. Other than Amazon Samsung Research, Nvidia, Oracle were some other top recruiters where students got placed. Most of the students were placed in tech companies like Deloitte, Accenture etc but some also went to Core sector Companies like Nvidia, Samsung Research etc. I've planned to go do MBA after getting this degree.

The tution and other fees sums upto 80000 per semester and if you opt for hostel and mess it'd add 43000, to it per semester. For SC/ST students there's 100% waiver on tution fee and for Gen/OBC students having family income less than 1 Lac per annum also there's 100% waiver on tution fee while students having family income between 1-5 LPA would get 50% waiver on tution fee. There's no hike policy and the fee generally don't get hiked much

The college hosts two annual fests cultural fest Utkansh and tech fest TechNiti both are quite good many celebrities like Hardy Sandhu , Gajendra Verma has performed in these fests in past years.There is a huge central library where everything is available for the students there's also an online portal for the Library from where students can access everything they require. The college infrastructure is quite good. All the classrooms are air conditioned and are equipped with digital boards projectors. Most of the buildings are newly constructed. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus.The sports infrastructure is also very good at NIT Jalandhar. It has a football ground, Cricket field, 2 basketball courts , 3 volleyball courts , 3 indoor tennis court, badminton court and all the equipments are available and everything is in sound condition apart from this every hostel also has a badminton or volleyball court of their own. There are many clubs like Dance club , singing club etc

NITJ has 10 Boys and 3 girls hostel which includes 3 Mega boys hostel and a mega girls hostel. The mega Hostels are equipped with lifts. All the Hostels have medical room and the campus also has a medical store. There's no curfew timings in Boys hostel but girls can only stay out untill 10 pm. The rooms are average, none of them has air-conditioning facility. The quality of mess food depends upon the hostel some of them has quite average food and some has above average. For Registration you've to pay 10000 security deposit which is refundable after completion of the course.
